Gameplay-2

This game, as many great games have been before it, is a button masher. Sometimes, a button masher can be good. But, like it in this game, it can be bad...very bad. If you gave a monkey a controller, he could hit it repeatedly and beat this game. If you tried however, to actually box, this game could be challenging. If you actually "Shuck and Jive" you could maybe have fun. But, if you play it to win, the only way to go is seeing fists fly so fast that your life loses all meaning.

Graphics-6

These graphics are simply "ok." They might entice someone to play this game...but they hardly beat that of "Ready to Rumble" or "Rocky" Among boxing games, this game provides the least eye candy.

Sound-8

The sound in this game can actually be quite amusing, with funny comments (ok, hilarious comments) from your audience and other non plot related NPCs. Characters comments, at the time, can also be quite funny.

Story - 2

What story? This is a game about boxing! Even though storyline shouldn't make or break a BOXING game, this game happened to break the mold. Their just wasn't anything TO this game. You'd win a battle. It would say "You Win!" Where's the glory?

This game might have been all right, on the PlayStation or N64. But with such better boxing games out there, well...this game just doesn't make the cut. If you want a real boxing game, I would reccomend to position yourself very very FAR AWAY from this game. And if you see it on the rental shelves, well...spit on it...just once...for me?
