"A Great Platformer"

Introduction

This game was released on February 18, 2004. It didn't get a lot of attention and thats probably why the price dropped $20. People who played it gave it good reviews. I'm one of them.

Story

Pitfall Harry was riding on a plane. He met a group of explorers and then the plane gets struck by lightning. Pitfall Harry goes out to find the explorers and while trying to find them he runs into many dangers.

Graphics

The graphics are almost perfect. The game looks a tad bit childish but that doesn't matter its still great. The character models are animated well and designed a little childish. Whats funny is you can see the resemblance between this Harry and the Atari 2600 Harry. He looks the same way as he did 22 years ago you can say. Everything designed in the entire game is designed very well. They almost look real in my opinion. Also, the lighting effect in this are realistic but I've seen better.

Controls

The controls are the best I've played with. There very easy to use once you start playing with them.

Audio

The audio is perfect. There are absolutely no flaws whatsoever. The SFX go into the game perfectly. The music doesn't really sound like jungle music. Its still good but they should have had a little bit of old fashion jungle music. You know like with the drums.

Gameplay

The gameplay is good but a little limited. You don't do a whole lot and you backtrack a lot. The backtracking is no problem but it is with some people. The time to play the entire game isn't long either but it should have been longer that it was. The first time I beat it took me almost a month but the second time I did it took me less than a day.

Conclusion

Its overall a great Pitfall game. I believe its only $20 now. If you like Pitfall, buy it, but get it for Gamecube or Gameboy Advanced. There both great games.
