Shrek 2

"Average game,but aimed towards young children"

Shrek 2 is not really movie based.If you have seen the movie,you will notice many differences throughout the game.This game is also aimed towards the younger audiences.I know that because my younger brother got this game and liked it.But, you can decide whether or not you like this game with my helpful review of Shrek 2.

Gameplay:6/10

Your group when you begin the game is made up of four people Shrek,Princess Fiona,Donkey, and the Gingerbread man.You can control each group member through the whole game .Your 4 person group can defeat all the enemies without you even touching a button.Each member has their special abilities.My favorite Character ability is Princess Fiona's slow-mo move.Obviously, with this move she can slow down time so you can attack and destroy the enemies before they react.Also, The enemy A.I. is really dumb because they can't even attack you if you let them.The whole game is very simple and does not require alot of work.Finally,Most of the story's objectives are collecting things.You will have to collect various and weird items like snail eyeballs,fairies,and coins.Sometimes, to unlock a new checkpoint you will have to collect things that are right in front of your face making it very easy to beat.

Graphics: 8/10

The graphics are good and sometimes rather not so good.Throughout the game, you will mostly find detailed objects and characters.But, sometimes you will find non-detailed characters or objects.Another cool thing about the graphics is the rag doll psychics.When you hit objects like wooden gates and plants you will notice them moving in a realistic way.

Sound: 7/10

The music is light and cheerful like most games aimed at young audiences.Most of the voices are not muffled except for a few experiences.The group members sayings get repetitive and annoying.They are the type of sayings that are cheesy and dull.

Overall: 7/10

If you liked the movies Shrek and Shrek 2, I would recommend you rent this game because you can beat the game within 6 days.If you have a brother or sister that likes Shrek I would definitely buy this game.
