"Cutomize, Robotize, hypnotize, MY EYES! MY EYES!"

Tired of hearing from me, review-wise? Well TOO BAD! Because I'm gonna tell you about a game, chillins. A game, set in a mysterious place, where everything is metal. People live in domes, and fight each other using 30 centimeter-long robots in something as horribly named as a holoseum?
meh.
With the totally illogical premise aside and the stupidly innovative holoseum naming forgotten, We have a great game to play.
So, with my crappy intro done, we can now advance to the review.

Idea 8/10: Now, nintendo's been having a little fun with us lately, releasing previous Japan-only games here in the U.S. (fire emblem, Custom Robo) and gamers couldn't be happier or more devoted. (FESBians, I'm looking at you.). Now Custom Robo was a successful game, and established a firm cult-following. So far so good. So Nindendo moved the Action-packed, Gun-blazing, pod-blasting, bomb-exploding, swift-moving game to the U.S. and watched the gamers flock to stores. And I say, good job.

Story 9/10: I watch a lot of Anime. Now, through my experience, I've used the term profusely. Now, I'll use it as an adjective. The plot can't be any more Anime. The dialogue couldn't be any more anime. The characters (for goodness sake) couldn't be any more anime. There is a lot of humor injected into the game, and the third choice option always made me smile: Got it/Don't got it/Ha ha! They called you a jerk!. My point is, the story is trite, but the way it's arranged makes it original. Did that make sense? I didn't think so. NEXT SUBJECT!

Playability 10/10: Now, this game has perfect control. The jump and shoot buttons are strategically placed close together, and the bomb and pod buttons are quickly accessible on the shoulders. The X and Y buttons aren't used too often, (In my case) and can easily be ignored. The control is fluid on the screen too. I only had problems moving when I was being hit by my enemy.
Hands down, this game plays like a charm. RRRRR! another statement that doesn't make sense! oh well...(like a charm?....What's that supposed to mean?...)

Graphics 9/10: MY EYES! MY EYES! I knew without looking at the box there was a seizure warning. Flashing colors, explosions, moving robos of every shape and color... My only problem is that the colors can be very distracting. Imagine this, bombs, pods, and guns zipping around a small arena from one character. Pretty, ain't it? now multiply it by four. Yikes. A lot of the time, I was thinking, "Where am I?!?!?! GAH!" and having to rely on the games auto-targeting isn't bad, unless you're behind a wall. And smoke is blinding you. and pods are coming from the other three directions. ouch.

Sound 8/10: Nice... Nice... no complaints. The explosions make some pretty cool sounds, and the music's okay. not much to say here... um... the footsteps were a nice touch? The voice to person tone was a nice touch also? The little things are great, but not many people notice to what lengths these people go to to make it seem realistic. Anyway, good job.

Replay Value 7/10: Fun, Very fun. But I put every game I play to this test. "Would you erase the existing file and start anew?" And out comes a resounding NO. I worked too hard to get everything, and I'm not going through the handicap battles in 'The Great Battle' again! So basically, you'll use only one file, but use it to death. Multiplayer is fun, but to a point. You got to remember to set up rules to avoid the cheapness of illegal parts, and rules aren't fun, so unless you like playing the computer, multiplayer is okay at best.

Worth the money? Yes: I Bought the game purely by recommendation. I've never done that before, and It was a fine decision I don't regret. Now, I write this review, giving you the same positive recommendation, hoping you won't torch my house if there's the odd chance you don't like it.

Overall Score 9/10: Battling out with robots the size of my forearm is really fun, and A lot of other people think so too. Just look at the other reviews! Nothing but love and fair evaluations! You gotta respect that. That's why the game was made! To get the respect it so richly deserves in the states. mm-hmm. For a little respect... R-E-S-P-E-C-T, tell it what it means to me...
