"Fun, Fast, Fwee!"

Eighting and Tomy have once again brought us an amazing sequel for the first Naruto on the Nintendo Gamecube. Quickly, when I got enough money, I bought it. When I recieved the game, I engaged myself into it..

Powerful and compelling, those two words are remotely what this game is. It's hard to explain how great this fighter is, it just surprises me to an extent of awe. I thought this game would be good, but not that good! A fast-paced fighting game is just what the import U.S. library needed, and hopefully another sequel will come.

Using Energy, HP, and Supers, this makes this game sound very mediocre , but that's just the start. You simply use the traditional fighting game buttons. B, A, Y, X, R and L. Z and C stick aren't used. B is for physical attacks, A for items, Y is for grabbing, and X is special. You also have a small Chakra meter. You use these chakras for moves to escape a combo, or even use a Jutsu (technique). Each character has their own unique Jutsu straight from the Manga. Some fighters even have more than one, such as Rock Lee, that can open two "Gates".

A must-have for all Naruto fans, but even people who hate Anime will love this title. The story mode is very elite, though it is not understandable to non-Japanese speaking people. That's why you can pick up a translation guide. And if you're wondering, no, you don't need to know Japanese to play the game, just O.K. memory. There's also a 4-player-compatibility, so you can brawl it out with anyone!

I really think you should take the time to import this game with a FreeLoader. It's worth the trouble, just for you and your GameCube's satisfaction. If you're not familiar with FreeLoader, it's just a disc that allows you to play import games on your US/PAL/JAP Nintendo Gamecube. Though pricey, it's a bargain compared to how long you'll be playing this game. A great addition to your libary, and you'll even ask your friends to buy it. Makes a great gift.

Sexy no Jutsu!
