"The classic is back and ready to eat you alive...."

I myself love the Resident Evil games. The first game was for Playstation where it got much attention as the first Survival Horror game ever. Later, Resident Evil 2 came out, followed by Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, then Resident Evil: Code Veronica, then Resident Evil Code Veronica X. Later they made a remake of Resident Evil for Gamecube which was amazing. Then they made Resident Evil 0, a prequel. Then they released all the others (except Code Veronica) for the Gamecube. I had trouble finding this one, but was determined to complete my set. I finally got it, beat it, and now I'm here to tell the tale.....

Graphics- Being that it's ported, they aren't up to todays standards. But in past reference they are great. Though the animation can be a bit lagging, it's not a big deal. I mean everyone looks good and distinguishable. I like weapons appearances are well. The bosses look pretty good. The zombies also look pretty good. The other assorted monsters (I rather you see them for yourself) look pretty freaky but awesome. The environments also look great. The items are easy enough to see, but aren't too obvious. The cut scenes though look very awesome. So in all I say this department is going well.

Sound- Pretty Awesome. First off the slow eerie music keeps you on your toes. The occasional owl or scream in the background makes it a frightful experience. The People talking sound very good, have emotion, and just plain increase the value. The cinemas have such a good sound factor, it's crazy. The moans of the zombies sound very good, creepy, and realistic. The bosses sound god themselves. The other monster oddities sound pretty freaky as well. In all this game sounds awesome.

Game-Play- Wonderful. Suspenseful. Thrilling. Overall awesome. Here's the story: It's a month after the mansion incident. Things have started turning ro normal. When suddenly a "mysterious" breakout of the T-Virus occurs. The town is then over run with zombies. The few survivors are helpless. Leon S. Kennedy comes to Raccoon City because he was just transfered there in the police department. He has unpleasant welcome as you might imagine. Claire Redfield (Chris's sister) come sin search of her brother for he has disappeared. She and Leon meet up while running from zombies. After a car accident, they get separated and the horror begins. Now that the story is over, I'll proceed. You choose from either Claire or Leon to start with. The game is in 3rd person. In short, you go around, finding keys, solving puzzles, killing monsters in an attempt to escape this nightmare. There are a variety of weapons to help you do this. Now let's say you get hurt. You have a few health conditions. Fine (Green), Caution (Yellow), Caution (Orange), Danger (Red). Also you can have Poison (Purple). Poison is fixed with a Blue Herb. Health can fixed with Green herbs or First-Aid Spray. Also a Red Herb mixed with a Green one gives full health. The game has a good challenge factor, but isn't too insanely difficult. Once you "think" you beat it, you have a surprise. You go through it again as the other character from their prospective. Once you do this, you see the true final cinema and thus the ending. It's a nifty little feature. At first I though it was short, but it is actually a long game. Overall this game has awesome Game-Play.

In conclusion, this game is great. If you can find it anywhere, buy it. It's only about $20. Some people say to get the N64 or PS version, but I like Gamecube's the best. So for a virtually flawless game, I give Resident Evil 2 for Gamecube a 10/10.
