"Welcome Back, Potter"

the Prisoner of Azkaban Review

Storyline:

Well this game is like every freaking other Harry Potter game. You run around some weird dungeons trying to find, you guessed it, a spell book. It pretty much follows the book. Dementors and all that good stuff. You also run around trying to find out who Sirius Black is. If you've read the book you know what happens pretty much, but they left out a little bit. Hey that's typical Harry Potter gaming. You have to except that.

Game play/Control:

The Controls in the game are okay but getting yourself line up so that you actually do an action is very hard sometimes. You have to be very precise. Ah, the game play. It was pretty good one button cast the spells one is action very simple. No learning spells either (Thank God). There was only one little catch. You have to switch spells. It might not seem that annoying but when you have 6 spells each with many different purposes and different stage bosses it's really annoying. Example: Ha now that I've frozen him I have to kill him darn I have my stupid shield equipped. Oh no he's coming. AHHH! Yeah, that about says it all. It's not that bad but when you're trying to beat a boss it's really annoying. The other thing was the puzzles. Moving a block here does this, but also does that… That was a nice feature. Some were easy, some were hard.

Originality/Features:

I can't say it's original because it's based on a book and like I said earlier it the exact same game just with some tweaking. The features in the game however are awesome. I don't know where to start. This is the best Potter game. Hmm. Lets start with Buckbeak. You can ride him finally. Oh what fun it was. He's so cool. Another feature is the battle arena. You can go to the great hall and go face off against other house groups with spells (obviously). Last house standing wins. This is a great way to get potions and Bertiebots Every Flavor Beans. The best feature is switching between the characters (Ron, Harry, and Herminie) who each know different things which is really cool.

Music:

The sound track is pretty good, all orchestrated and it definitely sets the mood. But there aren't many songs so they play over and over again. But it's pretty good.

Graphics:

The graphics are ok, nothing great at all. The dungeons look the same just big rocks here and there. * Sigh * the dementors are like 2D and Snape boy he is ugly. I'm not even sure if I remember Harry's scar…

Fun Factor:

This game was by far the best Harry Potter game. Its pretty addicting I found my self playing it from 9-5. The features were great but the controls weren't so great but still, it's a fun game. If you like Harry Potter games get this one not the others!

Overall:

Fairly good game not the best but good. I don't know what else to say. Happy Gaming!
