Pool Paradise
Review by man of videogames
"Wonderful pool game!"
Here we are, on a island. Paradise Island that is. Playing the classic game of pool where you compete against other players for cash. Use the cash to unlock some cool stuff. Oh yeah! I will go in detail about the graphics, sound, controls, and last but not least replayabilty. This is, for the most part is the story. So on with the review.
Graphics: Everything here is in great detail. The pool table, balls and cue stick. Wow even the scenery seem to be too real to be some game your just playing. From the pool table you can see a wonderful view of the beach and the ocean. You really have that feeling of playing on a island in a bar. Yes your playing pool in a bar. You see the bottles of liquor in the back ground. The juke box is there also. There are some trees just outside the bar. While the graphics for the most part are ready good. There is some slow down when your opponent take his turn at the table. Graphics seem to be somewhat blurry in the back ground. Over all the good out weighs the bad. Graphics get a 9/10
Sound: The sounds is unbelievable. You hear everything, the ocean and the birds perfectly. Too real to be a video game. The sound of the balls clicking together sounds good. Now the bad news. The music for the most part isn't that great. You have 17 tunes to listen to. Some tunes are good while others get on my nerves. Other then that no other complaints with the sound. Sound gets a 8/10
Controls: Controls work very well for this game. Its one of the strong points for this game. Controls are simple. You use the control stick to move the cue stick up and down while holding the A button. When your ready to hit the ball. Move the Cue stick back as far as you want and forward to make contact with the cue ball. Sound simple right? Sure is . Control gets a 10/10
Replayabilty: This is what makes me come back again and again to play Pool Paradise. The games you play 6 ball, 9 ball, 10 ball. Thats just a few of the types of pool games you can play. There a great number of things to unlock when you beat your opponents. Extra games. And I am not talking about pool. There are plenty of modes, Competition mode, Extra games you unlock with cash, and Practice mode. Replayabilty gets a 10/10
Rent or Buy? Buy if you a fan of pool or even own a pool table. If not at the very least a rental if your just a bit interest in this game.
