Donkey Konga

Review by mwahahaha

"Playing bongos never has been so fun"

Many people may think that Donkey Konga is a kid's game and is immature for people over 15 to play. Well, it isn't. Donkey Konga is a rhythm game that is very easy to play and enjoy. The game comes with a special Bongo controller, which makes the game ever more enjoyable.

Story 5/10
The story is simple. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong have found a pair of Bongos and take it to Kranky Kong to see what it is. He tells them the bongos are for music, so they take the idea of becoming rich and famous to buy bananas. Short and simple story.

Control 10/10
The controls are simple. There is a start button to control menus and the right and left bongos scroll through menus left and right. While playing, there are 4 notes: right, left, both, and clap. You can also use a standard controller to control the game and play, but its less fun. The normal GCN controller makes the A, B button is the right bongo and the start button, the D-pad and the Left analog sick are the left bongo drum, and the L and R buttons are clap.

Graphics: 4/10
The graphics are sub par in this game when you are drumming. The characters on the bottom of the screen while playing move in fixed movements over and over again, and Donkey Kong only moves his hands to hit the bongo. The graphics are good in the mini-games though. But the main point of the game is to watch the music notes, so the player does mainly not see the graphics.

Audio: 10
This is where the game prospers. The audio in the game is phenomenal. There are 33 songs top be played, and all of the songs can be played with many modes of the bongos. The modes are different sounds the bongos can make.
The music has many beats and new sounds in the songs.

Replay: 10
Donkey Konga can be played for hours without boredom. You can play the songs in three different difficulty levels and you can play them as many times as you want to try and beat your high score. The multiplayer has you playing duets, quartets, or battling against a friend.

Buy or Rent: Buy. This game can be played for years because of all the music to be played and all the goals to reach.

Donkey Konga is a game to get if you like music and like to have a fun game for you to play with friends. But Donkey Konga is nothing like a kiddy game. It is a rhythmic game that everybody van enjoy
