"Should have stopped at Lego Island"

Take your below average action/adventure game. Add Lego Bionicle. Voila.
I can't say I'm a fan of Lego, or Bionicle, but I tried not to let that bias my opinion. There wasn't a lot to like about the game. The story was like an episode from a children's TV show, and the characters had nothing. They were just there, no background, nothing.

Sound: 5

There was some decent music, I would say, but nothing to go ga-ga over. The sound effects were nothing special either. Same goes for the voices. It was just overall decent, or a bit less.

Graphics: 5

Again, nothing to get too excited about. They're your typical Gamecube graphics, something like Super Smash Brothers Melee, which wasn't that impressive. At least it didn't have TOO many glitchy moments.

Story: 2

Brutal. Just brutal. The story, which usually makes or breaks a game, was just not thought out. Perhaps that's because this is what I would consider a childrens game. Maybe if you like Bionicles, you would like it. But I don't know anything about them, so this left me confused. Well, more like confused on why I rented it. I didn't even finish it, I took it back after a day.

Controls: 4

Simple enough. They weren't too confusing, and I didn't have any trouble figuring it out. There wasn't a lot of substance though, and you pretty much used the same controls throughout the game.

Overall -------------- 4

Not great. Not even good. Not even decent. It's just there. It fills up a slot on the shelves, I suppose. I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone.

RENT OR BUY?

Rent, and ONLY rent if you LOVE Bionicle. Otherwise, steer clear.

Like I said before, they should've stopped after they made Lego Island. Lego's meant to be played with, not made into really poorly made games. It's just like toys based off video games. Don't do it.
