"Cowabunga...oops, not supposed to say that anymore."

Okay, ignore the tag-line but it was a funny line to me. Okay, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, made by Konami is actually a very innovative game. We all remember playing the old Ninja Turtle Arcade games when we were younger, getting all four turtles on the screen, then TMNT came out for the next gen consoles, and gave us 2 players...What were they thinking, none the less it was a great game and the sequel does not disappoint.

Graphics

Okay, the Graphics are not really the games strong point, they were exceptionally better than the first games and still stay true to the cel shading based on the series. It uses animated cut-scenes from the show so those really make it easier to grade. The environments are pretty small really and don't have a lot of detail and the explosions are pretty bland but it really isn't about graphics. I give them a 7/10.

Game-play

The Game-play is the strong point here, memories are brought back when you play with the many combos and different abilities. In single player mode, you choose 4 characters (you start with just the turtles) and then you choose your level, now instead of being one turtle you can switch between them anytime and use their special talents to get through the level. For Multi-player you share life so if your friend is over there getting beat in the corner, help him out cause it will hurt you too. The game-play gets an 8/10.

Story

Well, if you are a true fan of the series then this game is for you, it has the same story,, and you can even control when most of it takes place, and the cut-scenes from the show make any fan pleased. I like the story of the show so I will say 9/10.

Sound/Humor

It has the funky groove the turtles have been used to for quite a while and the turtles lines throughout the levels are hilarious. Like Mikey's line in the title and many more funny quotes. I give it an 8/10.

Overall Performance

This game is a great game to just have 3 friends come over and play nonstop turtles action, then you have to decide on who's gonna be who which could make many fond memories. It is a great party game and it gets a 8/10
