"Shelltastic? Almost had it."

When I checked the reviews for TMNT2: Battle Nexus, the people seemed to give the game bad ratings. However, I'll do my work to try to make this game look good.

Graphics: 9/10
The graphics in this game are really good. Although its the same as the first TMNT game, it's still good nevertheless. Also, like the first game, this game also has scenes from the TV series. Of course, there are scenes in that game that never appeared in the TV series at all. The special effects aren't too shabby either, but the quality of the animation has been a bit low. Nevertheless, it gets a really good rating.

Game Play: 7/10
The game play is very different in TMNT2. In this game, you can have up to 4 players playing at the same time. Also, the game can be a big challenge. You'll face numerous enemies that'll cause a lot of mayhem and chaos on you. It's even more challenging when you have to start an episode all over again if you lose all your health. This game also comes with a Battle Nexus tournament and an arcade game back in 1989. The game play is good and so is the rating for it.

Controls: 6/10
The controls in this game aren't too great, but at least the rating is above average. For one thing, you can't perform rapid attacks like you did on the first TMNT game, but some additional abilities have been added to spice the game up for you. Also, it's rather difficult to get a perfect aim on enemies, but as you play the game, you'll become familiar to the controls. This game will take a while to master, but it's worth it.

Story: 7.5/10
The story is similar to the events that happened on Season 2 of the TV series. Although it's very familiar, there are a few characters or areas that never showed up at all. Even certain events have been different as well. To make things straight, you'll be able to follow the story, just like the way Season 2 did.

Replay Value: 8/10
You can very well replay any stage you please. You can even face off against the bosses all over again as well. The only things you can't replay is earning crystals and artifacts.

Final Rating: 7/10
This game is pretty good overall. You should buy or rent the game to see if you like it yourself.
