"A great adventure for all gamers!"

Intro: Back in 1999 the Dreamcast was first released and along with it was a new line of games, but of all of them was Sega's mascot, Sonic the Hedgehog in his new game, Sonic Adventure. Now the this good and all, the only problem is I never got to play the game (Never got the Dreamcast) and I was left in the dark for four years without knowing what happens in the game *Sigh*. Okay lets fast forward to 2003, I have played Sonic Adventure 2 Battle for awhile and I have been waiting for the new Sonic Heroes game, when I find out Sonic Adventure is going to be released on the Nintendo Gamecube with new features and enhanced graphics and such. Was I happy? Hell Yeah I was! A game I wanted to play for so long was going to be released on the Gamecube! Anyways as you can see I gave this game a 10, does this game deserve this score? Why yes it does, just read this review to know why.

Story 10/10
The story goes like this: Dr.Robotnik (Eggman for Sonic and his friends) releases a ancient beast known as Chaos who he wants to use to destroy Station Square and build Robotnik Land (kind of lame name isn't it?) where he will rule the world from. Of course Sonic and Tails have to stop him, but that is only part of the story of Sonic Adventure. The other parts of the story follow the adventures of the four other characters, Knuckles the Edchida, who haves to restore the Master Emerald after it shattered, Amy Rose, who wants to help a little bird find its family, Big the Cat, who searchs for his friend Froggy, and E-102 "Gamma", who at first serves Dr.Robotnik and then changes his destiny. Awhile Sonic and Tails are the real aim of the story, the others are just as good, even if Amy's, Big's, and Gamma's seem pointless, they add more to the story.

Graphics 10/10
Okay, I have seen far better graphics than this, but the reason I gave this a 10 is because the graphics were made to better than the Dreamcast. Even if the graphics don't use the full power of the Gamecube, they very clear and smooth.

Gameplay 10/10
Okay this what makes a game, the gameplay and boy this game has some great gameplay. All the characters play differenty and haves a different goal to achieve in the stages.

Sonic: The highlight of the game and title character, Sonic's game has Sonic running to the end in blazing speed. Sonic's levels aren't really hard, but they are fun to play and brings a good feel of the old games.

Tails: Sonic's good friend, Tails' levels are fun to play, but are kind of short compared to Sonic's levels. In Tails' levels he has to race Sonic to the end of the level. If you beat him, you finish the level and you move on......that's it, its fun to play, but in the same time its cheap since Tails can fly (You'll see I mean when you play his adventure).

Knuckles: The tough echinda with spikes on his fist, Knuckles' game involves hunting down the Master Emerald fragments with his rader. His levels are slower than Sonic and Tails levels, but are just as fun to play.

Amy: The girl who is crazy for Sonic, Amy's levels are much slower than Sonic, Tails, and even Knuckles levels, but its okay. You are being hunted by a robot known as Zero who wants the bird that is with Amy. Even if you are being chased, Zero doesn't posed a threat at all, infact I say Amy's levels are the easiest in the game.

Big: A big cat that likes to fish, Big's levels are considered to be the worst in the game, and I can't really blame those who say that, afterall you are fishing in a Sonic game. Anyways in Big's levels you have to fish for his friend Froggy, which is really slow gameplay and can be really annoying, it really isn't that bad after you get used to it.

Gamma: The robot who serves Dr. Robotnik, Gamma's levels have you blasting targets as you make your way to the end, his levels are fun to play, but they are SHORT, which is really not the good, but its like that for a reason, that reason being you have a limited time to get to the end, Heh oh well.

Anyways the gameplay is the best part as all the characters play differently and have a different goal to complete, it GREAT!

Sound/Music 10/10
The sound of jumping brings back good memories of playing the Sonic The Hedgehog 1 and 2. Anyways the sounds never get annoying, and even though some sounds are slow to take affect (like Knuckles gliding and Gamma hovering), it really doesn't matter. As for the music, the theme songs kick butt, and music for the levels are cool too (Emerald Coast being a good example).

Challenge 10/10
Not many reviews never add this, but I will. Anyways the challenge (or difficultly as others like to call it) is okay, but even in your first time you won't have much trouble beaten the Adventure with six characters, but trying to get all emblems can be a little bit challenging.

Flaws: Okay this game has some flaws, like glitches that causes your character to go though walls and causes you to lose a life, but it really doesn't happen alot in all stages, only for a few characters and their levels (like in Sonic's Emerald Coast). But this "Flaw" can be really good for those who want to get characters to levels they can't normally get to.

Now to talk about the new features this version of Sonic Adventure gets. The features include the 12 Sonic Game Gear games (you get one for even 20 emblems you get), there is the new mission mode you can unlock, which is fun to play and try to complete the 60 missions. The game even gives you something good for getting all the emblems, which I won't spoil for you, but it adds more replay value to the game.

Overall 10/10
This game is fast, fun, and pure Sonic. You may think I would say "BUY! BUY! BUY!" like most of the people who truly love a game, but I say give this game a test run, you won't be disappointed.
