"A very addictive game"

I picked this game at Future Shop for 60$. Which is a good deal cause everywhere else it's 119.99$. This game uses the DK bongo's that are packaged with the game. Once you pop the game into your game cube and plug in the sweet bongo controllers, then select your favourite song on the list. The experience begins. If you played DDR. Chances are you'll like it the same way. It's an awesome rhythm game that keeps on Rollin.

Controls 10/10

The controls are perfectly brilliant. You have to hit the bongo's at the right time. Sort of like the DDR controls. Except with bongo's. Another thing that sets it apart from DDR is the clap icon. Every time you see this you have to clap. (or make another noise if your hands are tired) This adds a cool twist to the game. When a long line approaches you have to do a roll on the bongo or both bongo's. Or it could be a whole bunch of claps. These give you coins with their amount depending upon how many times you hit the bongo's. The microphone is very responsive. Which is impressing.
Graphics 5/10

The graphics are sub-par. But it isn't a main point in the game. You probably won't even notice the graphics since you'll be too busy drumming your hands on the bongos. The only thing well animated is DK and his bongos

Game play 10/10

I already explained how the game works so I don't need to say it again. Although there are other features in the game. Like two player mini games and different sound sets. You get coins to buy them from street performance mode. Another cool mode is Challenge Mode. Which is basically a bongo till you drop mode. There are many difficulty levels so don't worry about it being too much of a challenge. But be warned, the game is very addictive. The only reason you'll put it down is because your hands are tired. It may be the only game in your Game Cube for a while.

Soundtrack 8/10

It's pretty average. I wish they could have got songs slightly more popular. Although there are still pretty good songs like “Wild Thing” and “We will Rock you”. Although their old, they're still good. It would of helped to get rid of all the childish songs. They didn't go with the bongo feel. There are also many Nintendo songs involved. All the Nintendo songs are well done. The higher the difficulty, the more songs you get to play.

Fun Factor 10/10

While your playing this game you'll have the time of your life. The best part about it is that it has no end. This game has limitless fun.

Replay Value

I can sum it up in one word. “timeless”

Rent or buy

I recommend renting it first in-case you don't think it's not worth a buy. But it's a great experience so I recommend you at least try it. Don't play it for rent if you don't have the bongos however.
