SSX 3

"SSX 3 is one of the best sports games I've ever played."

I was never a real big snowboarding fan. My friend always kept telling me to at least rent it. He was always a big sports fan. Finally, I just said, what the hell and rented it. This game blew me away!

Story: N/A

There is no story to this game like almost all sports games. Even on "story" mode, there's just competition and races, etc.

Game play: 10/10

Everything about the game play is flawless! The tricks look awesome. The peaks are well designed, and the difficulty is perfect. All the tricks are awesome looking and are fun just to pull off. You have an Uber meter for those who have never played SSX that determines what kind of tricks you can do. You make it go up by pulling off tricks and it goes down when you use a boost. The more you do tricks the better they can be. You can even buy tricks, sme of which are very cool looking. The tracks are great. They have tons of alternate paths that all lead down the mountain. You even pick paths to get to different events. The stats are well designed, as in you get better stats by earning money from competitions and tricks and using it to put up your stats. You can buy clothing and accessories. The races are lots of fun, you can even hit people and make them fall over. If you do, you get a full Uber meter. There's also side objectives that reward you nicely with money. The course designs are so much fun you'll have a good time even if you get frustrated with a race or something. Every track has different ramps and rails to pull off tricks. Even the races courses have tons of ramps and rails.

Graphics: 9/10

These graphics are great. My only complaint is that the whoosh thing that comes from your board (you people should know, the stuff that comes out when you do a trick)doesn't run smoothly. Otherwise the characters are great and the track designs are awesome. ALL the tricks look awesome as I mentioned before. Each trick is unique. There aren't many glitches for a sports game. They always have lots.

Sound: 9/10

All the music is great. I have no complaints about that. The sound effects are also very nice. Like the sound of your board hitting the powdery snow or the sound of your character hitting the side of a rail. The character's voices during game play sound great too. They just could have made everything a little better.

Re-playability: 10/10

You can replay this game at any time no matter how much you play and you'll never, ever get bored. The races are always different against the AI and the courses are full of so many different paths that you will play for days trying to find them all. Even when you do find every path you'll still have tons of fun playing all the tracks. The freestyle events never get boring since they are always fun and challenging.
Overall: 9/10

This game is one for all sports lovers and even people who aren't crazy about sports (like me).
