"This is the best Simpsons game but still not perfect."

I rented this game 3 times to beat it. It isn't that long, but it's still pretty fun. I believe this is really the best Simpson's game but it's still not perfect. The game could be longer, and the graphics are just awful. But overall a good game.

Story: 6/10

The story has little to no depth. It's about aliens that put out wasp cameras and want to make a reality show about Springfield. But not if the Simpsons have anything to say about it. Actually, they don't have much to say. The cut scenes are bland and the story could have been a lot better and a lot funnier.

Game play: 8/10

The game play is the best part of this game. You do missions on foot and in vehicles so it's basically GTA Simpson's style. One of the funniest things about the game play is that when you run over someone they don't die, they get back up and a lot of times insult you or yell at you. Now, the reason this game is called hit and run. You have a meter that goes up for every piece of vandalism you commit. Once it hits a certain point the cops chase you. You don't want that during a mission because then you've got cops on your tale, which by the way aren't stupid and you have to worry about the mission. You'll go through about 7 different areas but there are only 3 different levels (they just close and open up new paths, or it takes place at a different time of day). You'll use every Simpsons family member except Maggie but you'll also use Apu! The missions include finding different items or collecting all of something within a certain time. There's even some where you have to destroy vehicles by ramming them with your own vehicle.

Graphics: 5/10

These graphics definitely need some improvement. The characters are all way too square and there are too many glitches. The cars look pretty good and the damage to them also looks pretty good but that's not enough to bring this rating up anymore than it already is. The character actions make them look kinda stupid. The way they run, the way they jump, it's as bad as Luigi humping stuff in Luigi's Mansion.

Sound: 9/10

This is one of the things that keeps hit and run above a 6. The voice acting is really great. They have all the real actors doing the characters. The cars sound like they should and the minor sounds are good too. Like running over cornstalks or hitting a lamppost.

Re-playability: 7/10

This game is actually worth replaying. The levels never really get boring. It's always fun to explore every part of the levels. The missions are also re-playable, which is a nice touch. The missions aren't too hard so you'll find yourself playing them often even if you've had no trouble at all with the levels.

Overall: 7/10

I advise anyone to just rent this game unless you really like the Simpsons. This game really isn't worth buying like all Simpsons games. At least this one is good enough to rent. But still it's a pretty good game.
