Medal of Honor: European Assault
Review by Aidyn24
"Well......It's Better Than Rising Sun"
In Medal of Honor: European Assault you take on the role of the American intelligence officer William Holt. Your missions take you through St. Nazaire, North Africa, Russia, and the Battle of the Buldge. There are 11 missions across these four areas so have fun while it lasts.
GAMEPLAY [8]
Although this game is fairly short, it is quite fun. The different levels are wide open and there is more than one way through eachlevel. In each level you are given 1 or 2 Primary Objectives and Secondary objectives are unlocked while playing.
A feature known as the adrenaline meter rises as you get head shots and preform acts of courage and bravery. When the meter is full you can enter a adrenaline mode. It is a short period of time where you are invincible and have unlimited ammo. This is useful when you have to charge a large group of enemies because they could easily mow you down.
I thought that the AI was pretty good and they are pretty aggressive. That brings up another feature of the game. The allied AI. You control a small squad of troops (3) with two simple commands (go there, come here). I thought they were pretty useless most of the time although they did help during some parts of the game. I think that the allied squad may have been near too many explosions because they never seem to listen to you ( sometimes they pick up the grenades you throw at enemies and throw them somewhere else ) and they look a bit lost at times.
The Multiplayer is a bit weak and there is no online feature and you can't play with computer players. Up to four people can play in different split screen modes like death match, and axis vs. ally.
GRAPHICS [7]
I thought the graphics were ok and the levels looked great. There were a few things that I thought could have been better such as the frame rates during some parts of the game as well as how the people looked.
SOUND [8]
The sound was one of the better parts of this game but with the volume up all the way I just about blew the speakers on my weak T.V. The sound was pretty much like all way games with explosions and bullets whistling by but it sounded realistic. The music was also a high point of the game.
EXTRAS [NONE]
There are really no special features in this game except for the historical footage between levels and the narration.
OVERALL [7.6]
This game is better than Rising Sun but still has plenty of room for improvement so I give it a 7.6.
