Review by Kain vs Raziel

"Bilbo with attitude"

Okay to let you know were I am coming from I'll let you know a little info about me. When I was a kid I read the Hobbit, I've seen all three Lord of the Ring movies, and played the three of LOTR games. This game was more-so aimed at a younger audience, but it was cool to see the book brought to life.

The Hobbit is the story leading up to what happens in the Lord of the Rings. You play as Frodo's uncle, Bilbo.

Gameplay 7/10
The game play was alright and it was actually a fun game to play. I didn't, however, like having to collect all those courage points. Breaking into treasure chest was a little bit annoying, but worth it. The puzzles weren't that hard, and the game was pretty easy.

One of the cool things about the game is they take you through every chapter of the book. They allowed you to run around and explore each main area of the book from a hobbits perspective.

Bilbo used three weapons. Rocks, a walking sick, and the elven sword, Sting. You are able to find upgrades for each type of weapon. The fighting engine isn't that bad, but there is really not that many fighting choices.

Graphics 10/10
Well the hobbit was a fun tale, so the graphics fit the type of story. If they made it look realistic, they would have had to of changed the game drastically.

Story 9/10
They did a really good job in this category. They made it just like the book with one exception. I don't remember Bilbo doing that much fighting, but with out those enemies, you would have much use for your weapons.

Sound 10/10
Well, they found good voice actors that did a good job with the characters. I liked the music they choose to use, and the sound effects also worked well.

Lifespan 3/10
Well, there's not much of a reason to replay the game. Even as a good fan of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. There aren't really any extra features or modes to extend the games lifespan. The game also does not take long to beat. This is defiantly a game you will want to rent.

Overall 8/10
It's a good game for fans and kids, but I wouldn't recommend you to get it if you do not know the book or the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
