"I should've gotten this on the Dreamcast long ago!!"

Welcome to Phantasy Star Online! If you played the one on Dreamcast, then you know how good it is! ^_^ Alright, enough of the small talk, an let's review!

Introduction- Rating: 8/10 Great!

This is Phantasy Star Online, where you can play the game Online or Offline, and the game is great in both modes! This is an MMORPG, for the beginners to know...This game is about....well there's not much of a story, so I'll explain in the Story section of my review! ^_^ Anyways, this game makes a good presentation of its graphics, sound, and story when you first turn the game on!

Gameplay-Rating: 8/10 Great!

Now, onto the gameplay. This game, as I mentioned earlier, can be played Online and Offline, and both modes are great! The battle system is real-time, just so you could know (beginners), so you need some strategy to defeat your enemies and learn their moves, so you could beat them easily. Yes, there is a Levelling Up System in this game, so you could power up you're character. Oh, and you can customize your character; There are three classes in this game, the Hunters, the Rangers, and the Forces! There are four types in each class (a new bonus to some classes, since the Dreamcast Version had a lesser number of types). When you are done with the Class and Type selection, you move onto customizing your character, you can change you're clothes, hair, etc. to you're choosing. And when you are done, you start your game, and you start going to the levels. But, not only there are levels and dungeons to venture, but you can start missions at a Hunter's Guild for some good prizes!! Some missions are only availiable online, but most missions are availiable offline. In Online mode, you can join teams, battle against other players, and have access to some other stuff. Oh, did I mentioned there are 2 Episodes in this game, so you could either play Episode 1 or 2! Also, you can play multi-player mode with someone you know and love ONLY in Offline mode. So, the gameplay is great, but needs total concetration an strategy since you will be exeriencing real-time action. Now, onto the story of the game!

Story- Rating: 7/10 Good!

This game doesn't have much of a story, but there is a story, though. The story takes place in the futuristic fantasy. There are emigrants from another planet named Coral, that are aboard a giant spaceship named Pioneer 2. They were headed to another planet named Ragol, due to a tragedy that happened to the world of Coral, to start a settlement there. There used to be a ship called Pioneer 1 that landed on Ragol before Pioneer 2. But the chief of Pioneer 2 never heard from the people that were aboard Pioneer 1....Something happened on Ragol, and it is you're person's job to investigate!...And that's all for the story (yes, there is not much to it, oh well... -_-)

Graphics/Sound- Rating: 8/10 Great!

Well, the graphics and music weren't really a big inprovement from the Dreamcast Version...so it's not much to say. Anyways, the music in this game is full of life, and matches the areas in this game perfectly. The graphics in this game is much like the graphics on the DC version, but kinda Gamecube-ilized (not a word) a little bit. But, no matter, as these graphics are impressive, and so does the music. So, there you have it!

Replayability/ Play Time- Rating: 10/10 Total Greatness!!

Now, this is the main core of this game!! The Play Time of this game is sooooo freakin' long, my total amount of time in the game is about 500 hours, and I'm not even close to being done yet! Now, the replayability is brilliant in this game!! There are many things you can do. You can search for many, many rare items in this game that you want to claim, take a challenge and play other Difficulty modes, which ranges from Normal to Ultimate, go online to do whatever you need to do...yeah, many things you can do forever and ever. This is the best part and the main reason why many people today are still playing until they get tired, and I doubt that you will get tired of this game, as there is a wide range of stuff to do. So, enjoy yourself, as you will be playing this game for like, ever.

Recommendations - A must read!

This game is so great, that I say you should buy it if you are a fan of RPGs of any kind!! But, if you want to make sure the game is good, then at least rent. You decide you're choice!! But, for those who never even get to play this game, you are seriously missing out!
