TimeSplitters: Future Perfect
Review by brasilrox
"The future is almost perfect, but not quite"
Introduction:
Through the years, there have been three different games in the Time Splitters series. There was Time Splitters, Time Splitters 2, and now Time Splitters: Future Perfect. But is Time Splitters: Future Perfect really all that "perfect?" Well, read on to find out.
Graphics: 9/10
The graphics in this game are pretty good, although they're not the best graphics I've ever seen. They aren't "bad" but they could have been better. Nonetheless, graphics aren't the main qualities of a game.
Sound: 10 /10
The music and sound affects in this game are great. Many futuristic songs including classics from the old games are in this game. All the characters sound different when you shoot them. The zombies' moans and groans will scare your pants off. Overall, this game has some pretty nice sounds.
Gameplay: 9/10
The gameplay in this game is pretty fun because of all the different characters and weapons. Some of the characters include a monkey (which can also be a zombie monkey, cyborg monkey, or ninja monkey), some zombies, and a whole military under your control. Something else that's good about this game is that they added blood and comedy, although younger kids might not be allowed to play because of the blood. Another good feature is story mode (which can be played in co-op mode), although it is a little too easy. During story mode, you will have many encounters with your future self. He will help you for a short period of time and then later on you will help out your past self (coincidence?). Also, there is something called Mapmaker where you create maps to play in multiplayer and even story mode. To unlock new characters, maps, etc., you can either play arcade league, challenge mode, or story mode in medium or hard. In arcade league, you play a series of games like assault or just a round of deathmatch. If you get a bronze, silver, or gold, you get something new. Challenge mode is just like arcade league except its harder and there are some interesting games like cat racing and a strange version of basketball. In the end, the gameplay is really fun but it has its weak parts.
Play time: 8/10
Time Splitters: Future Perfect will last you a pretty long time, although it won't last you any more than about a month. The story mode is a little too short. But the multiplayer will make you wanna play it for a long time. The game is pretty long , but Time Splitters 2 was longer.
Final recommendation:
For this game, you should probably rent it first to see what it's like, and then if you like it (which you probably will), you can buy it.
