Lost Kingdoms II
Review by VeryInsane
"Underated? Yes. Underappreciated? Yes."
Hello, and after the flip-flop of the Last Lost Kingdoms game, which didn't do really well, unfortunately. Mainly due to fact that you were forced to battle frequently and not be able to run away without sacrificing a few cards from a mission. There are 5 kinds of cards in Lost Kingdoms. 2 of them being new. There are Weapon, Summon, and Independant cards from the first one. Now there are helper and Transformation cards. Weapon cards let you use the cards attack 1-5 times, depending on the monster. The Summon
Gameplay - 8/10
The game continues the interesting card system... There are 5 kinds of cards in Lost Kingdoms. 2 of them being new. There are Weapon, Summon, and Independant cards from the first one. Now there are helper and Transformation cards. Weapon cards let you use the cards attack 2-5 times, depending on the monster. The Summon cards let you summon a monster for a deadly attack. Independant cards let you summon a monster to fight with you during battles. The Helper cards, well, help you. The Transformation cards help you bulldoze, jump, and fly through severe obstacles as you are a monster. You must also find the Red Fairies located throughout the game. There are also 6 elements. 1 also being new. The Water>Fire>Wood>Earth>Water square that helps out kinda in your advantages. Neutral cards have no weakness or strength whatsoever. Machine Cards are weak to creatures with Electric Attacks, like Flayer Spawns and Pixies.
Story - 8/10
Story is about as good as the first one. The Kendarie army has been led by an evil King, King Leod the 8th. You are Tara, a girl helping out the Band of the Scorpions and their leader Victor with your Runestone. Their might be a child memory of Sol, a swordsman serving the Band of the Scorpions? Find out more by buying this game.
Graphics/Sound - 8/10
The graphics look a bit sharper, despite the cards not having the same cool image they did in the previous game. The graphics seem almost 30% sharper with the addition of new cards, new Playable characters in versus. and Stuff Like that. The sound isn't really bad, either. This one now has voice-acting. Something that the previous one did not have.
Play Time/Replayability - 5/10
Replayability is kinda average for this game, as you can only go through some 1 time opportunities... Like the Lucky Lion card... Otherwise, you might just wanna stick it on the shelves after your done. There's not much else worth playing for after getting everything.
Final Recommendation - You may buy this at a cheap price. Unfortunately, No rumors have helped Lost Kingdoms 3 from Coming, as I think The series is done for because of Lackluster sales.
