"Not quite perfect, but close!"

Man, TS has come a long way with this game. Almost all the major issues that plauged the first 2 games have been fixed...almost. Unfortunatly, it still needs a little tweaking. TS:FP has lost a lot of its cartoony feel, and is defenatly a lot darker than its previous incarnations.

Graphics:9/10- As previously stated, the game has a more realistic feel to it. The graphics have shed thier cartoony feel for a more life like feel. Although some of the maps tend to flicker a bit (check out the snow banks of Siberia) the textures are really some eye candy. The dramatic lighting also adds some depth to the experience, thunder and lightning crash with brillant flashes, while the pulse and flicker options on mapmaker can really change the mood of the rooms you choose. Speaking of mapmaker, you can finally create outdoor maps! Not only that, but you can change the sky and weather conditions. Both adding the apropriate mood to your custom map.

Sound:6/10- Blechh, TECHNO! Man, techno is not really my thing, but even still its a little on the bland side. The only good tracks are Scotland the Brave and Castle Tank Boss, both which sound like something from an old WW2 movie. However, gunshots are very top quality, almost real. But for some reason, some weapons sound better when you collect the shrink powerup, but maybe thats just me.

Gameplay:8/10- YES! They have finally got rid of the spazstic aiming from TS2! When you aim, the crosshare stays still, focused on the middle of the screen where it should be, making sniping soooo much easier. Also, the addition of the ability to throw grenades also is a new feature, however poorly executed. It is incredibly akward to use the Z button to throw a grenade. Plus it is even more weird to change to secondary function with the d pad. The addition of vehicles is also a good feature, but it seems the only areas you can use them are in Story mode, the map of Sibera, and mapmaker maps. Speaking of story mode, there accually is a decent story, including in-game cut scenes, and the intersesting fact that you can interact with your past and present self. However, co-op mode is the most pointless feature in the game. Almost all of the feeling of single player is gone considering that you cannot do half of the objectives that you do before. If you really want to beat co-op that bad, then just plug in the second controler and do it yourself. (Don't worry! It works!) To make up for this fault, the multiplayer is just great, although I wish the bots could do more than jump and spin around and fire the guns. They don't use gun turrents or vechicles or anything else except the guns and health and armor.(Sigh)

Replay:10/10- With the fact that multiplayer is awesome, and there is sooo much to unlock. (Over 150 characters to unlock) This game will have you playing it for a while.

Conclusion: This is great multiplayer game. Prepare for the long hours of intense firefights and mapmaking!
