"Hack'n'slash all those Romans, for fun!"

Just imagine you are a Spartan with a army behind you consisting of 1000 men and in front of you there is 10000 Roman, not fair odds, right? That is the feeling that you get from this game. Read on to look how good this game is.

Game play 10/10

The game play in the game is pretty amazing. The playtime of the game is moderate and will take you 10 hours or more and then you can go through the game on the different difficulty settings to make it more of a challenge. You will probably want to play this game even if you have completed it on all modes just for the fun of it.

At the beginning of the game you start off with nothing, like no health hardly and only one weapon. As time progresses though you find more weapons such as the blades of Athena and other cools weapons like that. Also when you get more into the game you will game powers of the gods such as turning people to stone, sounds cool, doesn't it?

When you start off you have little health, when you run low which you are bound to do you have to heal, right? So I bet your wondering how do you heal? Well I tell you how by killing all of those Roman or by going to an alter and praying.

The first five minutes involve you slaughtering and protecting. To begin with you have to stop all the Roman Centurions and soldiers and then you have to protect your sappers from the onslaught of roman troopers so your Sapper can blow up their war machines. The first mission is a highly packed action mission.

Sound 6/10

The swords clashes sound real, the attacks sound gruesome and the Spartans talk American...Wait aren't they from Greece, why the hell do they speak American. That is a question that will confuse man kind for centuries. This is a bad part of the game.

Graphics 8/10

The graphics are very good and it is capable of holding numerous people on screen at any one time. Your powers look very cool too with al the flashing thunder and stuff. You look good and so do the Romans, this is a good point about the game.

Story 9/10

The story to this game is good and simple. You are Spartan and yes that is your name. And you caught your Mother, who is a god cheating with another man. You grass him up and he sends you down to Sparta to try and kill you by you fighting in the war.

Buy or Rent?

This would be a good buy at this time of the year. It is possible to complete this from a rent though.
