"Simply irresistible game to buy if you only have a Gamecube"

Finally, the sequel to WWE Day of Reckoning for the Nintendo Gamecube is out, and it comes packed with better graphics, more features, an extra Last Man Standing match, updated roster, a continuation to the story mode and much much more! Let's take a look at what this wonderful game has to offer.

Starting from the Graphics:
9/10

Solid graphics make a game visually entertaining and this game doesn't dissapoint. The wrestlers look almost like they do in real life, and altough some are exaggeratedly ripped (like The Rock or Hulk Hogan) most of them look great. Kane's entrance looks ok, Benoit cracking his neck and arms looks great and Chris Masters's entrance is wicked in the game! The animations of the moves are pretty good and although there still are some problems with the collision detection when having male vs. female wrestlers or very tall vs. very small wrestlers, the moves usually seem realistic with good impact.

Sound
8/10

The sound effects are a little cartoonish and they really don't seem too realistic, but what makes it get a high score is the music. All the entrance themes are in there. Complete intros coupled with songs by newcomers "A Dark Halo" make the music experience in the game worthwhile. You don't even miss the commentary found in other wrestling games.

Gameplay
9/10

The gameplay in the game is pretty linear, because you can either beat your opponents down in exhibition matches with friends or with the computer or you can play the story mode which is pretty linear with some choices added depending who you want to go after. You'll only want to go through it once or twice but the exhibition matches will be the ones that really get your attention. You get a lot of type of matches, including TLC, Hell in a Cell, Cage Match and others. You just won't get bored, especially with friends.

Replay Value
8/10

You will want to go at it again and again with your friends, alone, and you will want to use every single wrestler to learn their special moves and their uniqueness. This is one thing that is a MUST in wrestling games and this game doesn't dissapoint. The only thing that will keep you frustated sometimes will be the long loading times, but the gameplay makes up for it.

CAW

7/10

Although it may seem complicated at first, the CAW mode is actually rather easy. You can customize every single feature in your CAW. You can make the shape of their eyes, their moths, the shape and size of their head, their gender, the sice of their calfs, breasts, biceps and well, everything. You can also choose the moves you want them to use, and depending on the skills your CAW has, you'll be able to use different and more advanced moves. You can decide the textures of the clothing and skin, along a pretty useful "paint tool" which lets you make any painting mark you need for your CAW.

Overall
9/10

The CAW mode, all the match types and the advanced story mode, which is quite entertaining are what make this game hands down the best wrestling game on the newest Nintendo Console.
