Army Men: Air Combat - The Elite Missions

Review by DannysGetNDown

"Your little Army Men toys are back again."

Your little toy Army Men are back in another game, but this time they are flying through the air in helicopters for every mission. In this game you take control of a helicopter and fly around completing objectives. Sounds like a normal flying game? Nope, you are flying all over the house, in the yard, outside and all over the place to collect canisters to drop on enemies and blow em up. Or you bring back batteries to power up an electric current to melt your foes and everything like that. Not to mention you can also bring a friend with you and you can play cooperatively through the game, or you can go head-to-head and battle it out with that friend or play one of the other game-types available. You can choose from 5 different helicopters each one has a little better statistic somehow, whether it be it's stronger, faster or has better weapons that you like on it. There are a bunch of different weapons like; machine guns, rockets, roman candles, napalm, lasers and cherry bombs. The game has 20 missions which will last you a while. You even get power-ups which include speed or strength to increase that ability temporarily and even camouflage.

Graphics: 7/10
Nothing extremely spectacular looking in this game just your standard explosions blowing up plastic toys type graphics. The missions are fairly medium to hard difficulty and some levels get big and take time, but it's pretty fun.

Music/Sound: 6/10
Well for for music I can say that you probably won't be paying too much attention to music because you are being shot at from all different angles and enemies, so you're too busy dodging and trying to kill them to listen to music. There might not even be music in this game. The sound is good you hear gunfire and explosions mostly.

Gameplay: 7/10
The game-play for this game is good you will learn the controls after about a mission or 2 and then your off, you have different guns to switch to, or missiles, and even a button to drop a rope so you can pick up and carry things around, then drop them on opponents or they will heal you or replenish ammunition.

Replay Value: Low
This game is very good definitely for at least once through, but I myself probably won't play it again anytime really soon, maybe you will.

Extras: 0/10
Sadly this game does not have any extras you just have whats already there. nothing to unlock or anything. Thats what I look forward to in a game, unlocking extras that I believe I've earned. But no, nothing here. Except there is 1 code to put in for unlimited lives, but you don't need to unlock it to use it.

Overall: 5/10
The game is fairly decent, and kind of a rarity I guess because there is not many flying games around like this.

Pros:
Cooperative Play

Cons:
No unlockables
