Donkey Kong Jungle Beat

"A very good GCN game!!"

Donkey kong Jungle Beat isn't like the DKC games at all; you use bongos! Thats right you use bongos. The bongos add way more fun to the game.

Gameplay: You use the DK bongos to move DK around. The left bongo makes DK move left and the right bongo makes DK move right. Tapping the bongos makes the ape run. Jumping is harder than running; you have to smack both at the same time.
The major point to this game is to collect as many bananas as you can. A way to improve your banana score is to clap. Clapping is use to pick things up, destroy enemies and get out-of-reach bananas. The more bananas you get in one clap, the more points you'll get. Some bananas may seem impossible to get though.

Graphics: The graphics for DKJB are amazing. DK looks hairier than ever and the bosses look fully rendered. DK's landscape is very outstanding and colorful, especially the jungle.

Sound: Music in Donkey Kong games have always been good and amusing and Jungle Beats tunes are top-notch. DK makes numerous grunts when he gets an item or when he dies, he still makes noise nonetheless. Even the boss music is great!!

Replay: Sadly this game isn't longer because its so fun!! You can always go back and collect all the crests, but I admit you sooner or later will get bored. The DKC games are way better, but this is still very entertaining. I suggest 6 hours tops for an average gamer. Hardcore gamers may not be pleased.

Buy, Rent, or Leave: If you are are a platforming fan and or a DK fan ( like me ) you should buy this game!! If you are not sure about DK or the bongos rent.
If you hate DK, the bongos, and old school fun, leave it. But I would still recommend this game.

Conclusion: This game would be a lot better with a multiplayer feature or some extra modes, but it works very well. You won't be disappointed in DKJB. I would like to congratulate Nintendo on making another fantastic game to add to your GCN library.
