Battalion Wars
Review by Sales00012
"Great war game."
This game is a great war game. It has everything you would want and more. There is plenty of action, also.
Sound/ Music: 10/10 This game is filled with sounds. The sounds of dying infantry and missiles is so relaxing. My favorite sound is the ever popular," You Lose!" from grunts. Even at the beginning there is machine gun fire and explosions. You won't be disappointed.
Controls: 10/10 Easy controls with no hard button combinations. You will learn and master the controls within the first few levels.
Graphics: 9/10 The graphics aren't the best. Of course, they don't need to be good. The graphics go from trees to infantry and dead infantry. The graphics are without a flaw, just don't miss that while you are enjoying the trees, a tank could be right behind you.
Story: 8/10 You are the commander of a battalion of the Western Frontier. There is not much of a story, you are fighting the Tundras. Later, you team up and fight Xylvania and the Iron Legion. Also, during the campaign, you get an ally named Solar Empire, lead by...... Lei Qo? Anyways pretty strange names and pretty straightforward campaign with a few bonus levels. Still, pretty fun.
Gameplay: 10/10 In the game, you basically lead a battalion through mountains and forests. You usually start with between 15-30 men. In the battalion, you have units ranging from Grunts, to Battle Stations, to Strato Destroyers. You basically use all these units and blow up random enemies or allies. In the game, you have objectives. They could be like mission 1 where you advance from point A to point B, or like mission 3 where you defend a base, or like mission 5 where you attack an enemy base. They all range and they have secondary objectives, like on mission 5 where you rescue flame veterans. Each mission is exiting, wondering what it will be about.
Replay: 9/10 This game has a great replay! You keep coming back for more. When you do finish, you still can get all S ranks. That is tough. It makes the game from lasting a few hours to a few days! Also, with about 25 missions, you can experiment and do all sorts of things.
Final: 56/60 You should buy immediately! I think everyone deserves it. It is rated T, but so what? Just go right down to somewhere and get the game, or better yet, order it! This is one of the best war games I ever played, even though it is so short!
