Top Gun: Combat Zones

Top Gun Combat Zones is a plane lover's dream. Brought to you by Titus, this game features targets not easily hit and schools not easily passed. But, no game is perfect. Let us look over this game from a non- optimistic or non-pessimistic fashion.

Game play-5/10
This part has it's hits and misses. First of all, the controls were pretty good. And the ability to shoot down bases and auto shooters was a great flight experience. But the secondary weapons were too limited. The number of targets were too numerous. The schools were a little bit too hard to pass. I did not like the game play because it gave a non-simulation stint, leaving me feeling fooled. As I said in my tag line, it is not the best flight sim out there. Titus should reconsider funner game play in there next flight sim.

Graphics/Visuals-6/10
The camera was, without a doubt, great. It was great for me to see the targets almost perfectly. Although the camera was excellent, the graphics were not very good. Alot of the canyons were square and blocky. All the explosions look the same. And the cities were too square. I was shocked to see ( with a very good camera! ) that the graphics were very poor. Next time, I wish Titus would lean more toward the graphics side.

Replay ability-4/10
Because of the repetitive game play, long duration, and the boredom factor, it isn't really worth replaying the game. And because of no cheats, the replay ability factor is somewhat lacking. Next time, Titus should add some cheats to make the game funner.

Rent or Buy factor
In my personal option, I would rent before buying. If you like it, buy it. But if you don't like it, don't buy it.

This is not a bad game, although it is making some crucial misses.
