Garfield: Caught in the Act
Review by Dragon_King_Slice
"Garfield is FINALLY doing SoMeThInG!"
Yes. Garfield. A video game for Garfield you say? Well, your right! Garfield is here for us to control now! But what is he doing trapped in a TV in a TV? (Thats the TV in the game in your TV ;}) Well, if you really wanna know, then you'll have to read on:
Story 8/10
This is Garfields first Vid-game, and this story is about Garfield trapped in a TV? Why did Garfields first game have to be a story about that? Well anyway, it's not that bad really. It's just weird... That's all you'll be thinking about the story.
Graphics 8/10
Back then, these kind of graphics were nice and pretty. They still are. It gives the game an epic feeling of beauty. Like, it's nice and flash to look at, and makes the player of the game to enjoy such works. But I just can't give the graphics a perfect 10, compared to this generation graphics.. Just feels impossible to do as such.
Gameplay 9/10
Garfield is trapped in the television and Odie and he must go through a series of magnificently created zones to get out from the disastrous television. In certain levels, you will find Odie becoming the evil character and you must attack him.
Also, every level will have its own time. Example, in the beginning, it will start with the Stone Age meaning that weapons and enemies are all stone-type. Certain bosses and levels can only be got through with strategies. If not, you will probably be stuck at that particular place forever.
Variety of enemies is awaiting you in each level, teamed with traps that are hazardous to Garfield. The innocent Odie will look really funny in his evil form. The game is smooth with no glitch or problems. There are also secret levels that has dozens of items for you to get to top up your lives and other things.
Replayibility 3/10
There isn't much to do after you complete the game really. It's only a one way train. Go through all the levels, beat them and your done.
Overall 8/10
This is quite a fun game, but I can't give you any promises. It has its ups and downs. This game would be hard to find nowadays, so I wouldn't have a clue where you could buy this. If you can, then you better buy it otherwise you'll be needing some major luck to find it again.
