The Adventures of Batman & Robin
Review by NBAlien
"Da da na na na na na na, Batman.....& Robin?"
Batman may be the caped crusader after all, but his sidekick Robin may be wondering if he's in a game. That's why Genesis brought along "The Adventures of Batman & Robin."
GAME PLAY: You play either Batman or Robin taking on The Joker, Harlequin, The Mad Hatter and Mr. Freeze in a smash-up game where Gotham City is under attack. I like the way you play the game, but sometimes enemies can mean too much and the bosses can be big if they got something under attack. I also like the flying levels that remind us of many shooters in the past.
8/10
GRAPHICS: Sometimes the scrolling stops to have a fight under control, but when the batman logo with the word "Go!" appears, you move on. Sometimes big things often scare me a but, but it's okay. The Mad Hatter boss stage is very weird in terms of...well, the red & white floor, but the flying things are very good in terms of playing.
7/10
SOUNDS: I can hardly hear the "ping" noises when you get a power-up, but the explosions can nowhere near drown the music out. The soundtrack is very bombastic in hip-hop, but mostly the game is techno, and it's very industrial-like.
10/10
BUY/SELL/RENT: I think some game stores that have older systems may have it for less than $5, or Ebay may find it for good measure.
REPLAY VALUE: I think I have to check that, because if the game is over, I don't know if you may pick up where you left off or start over again. This may be a toss-up either way. Anyway, this game is very unique to the way things used to be in past Batman games.
8/10
OVERALL PRESENTATION: The Adventures of Batman & Robin is a good game to play along with, and it's a good 2-player game if you have a friend in helping fight Gotham City and bring down Mr. Freeze.
