X-Men
Review by GSephiroth
"You'll dig up your X-Men action figures after playing this good game"
Have you ever read the X-Men comics? This game has most of the series popular villains and heroes and pits them against each other. No, it's not a fighting game and you have to try to put an end to Magneto's threat instead. It's a platformer to be exact. Without delay, here's the review.
1.Playability: 7/10
This game lets you take control of the four most popular male X-Men in history. They even have all of their special abilities and can call for help when ever it is needed. But there's no save point or password to keep track of where you are. The lack of the ability to save your game ends up hurting the score in a bad way, but not too bad.
2.Sounds: 5/10
The game kind of suffers in this department because there's no voice except groans and explosions. It has some special sound effects, though. The background music is kind of cool in certain stages, then annoying on others.
3.Graphics: 8/10
The game looks pretty good here and it doesn't suffer that much when there's alot of obstacles on the screen. The most annoying part is when you're riding on the plane outside while meteors crash into you. The meteors look like crumpled pieces of paper that was dipped in paint. Other than that, the game looks pretty good with explosions and bad guys.
4.Replay Value: 5/10
There's nothing much to do here except to beat the game with various characters, though. Too bad there's no save feature or time trial mode here.
Is it worth it?
Well, depending on my experiences, I'd say maybe if you're a fan of platforms or a die hard Marvel collector, get this game for yourself so you won't hurt your self.
