"Actually kinda good"
Its one of those "sorta kinda good" games. As I know, the SNES version is a freaking nightmare(I've played it before, I know what I am talking about), lets get on to reviewing this version.
Graphics(8/10)
Back then, this was like "new" technology, But only the SNES version. The genesis version's graphics aren't that great, but still kinda good. Not only that, this game is bizzare at the fact that the screens in the background show the most pointless stuff, like a crying dog, a man showing his but, but once fully revealed, covered by some black bar, and a guy, who looks like he is drawn in MS paint, eating some green thing. I do NOT wanna know what he is eating at all. Anyway, your characters are made up of spheres. The spheres look odd on the Genesis version, but hey, its Genesis!
Sound(7/10)
Sometimes it sounds wrong, but other then that, some sounds are good like that clown laugh is kinda weird. Its like "HOO HA HA!" I also like those bouncey noises your characters make. The title music is at least better then the SNES one, because it just sounds WRONG on the SNES one. The Genesis one, instead of that wrong sounding female noise, you get some weird and demented "Yee!" noise. Some of the female noises are still in tact, but not the wrong sounding ones.
Gameplay(9/10)
The gameplay is kinda good. The SNES one has terrible controls, but this one is pretty good. A and B are attack buttons, then C is jump. You can walk around the level(diagonal directions, up, down, left, and right), unlike most fighting games. The character I am best with is Tsunami. He's a pretty good character for beginners. Of course, the annoyances is that it is a freaking nightmare on normal and hard. It might just be me, but I don't really know, because I really got my butt kicked like 10 times on normal, and normally I can play fighting games on normal and beat the entire thing. Guess it must be this game. Hard mode is a literal nightmare. The CPU doesn't even let you ATTACK! Seriously, just stick with easy. =/
Overall(8/10)
It is a pretty fun fighting game, however, I suggest you get the GENESIS VERSION ONLY! The SNES one is a LITERAL NIGHTMARE! So this can show you something. That a pretty good graphics version can suck, while a less superior kind of graphics can be pretty decent.
