"This game was made for kids/toddlers you guys"

Barney's Hide and Seek was probably my first "kids" game. I happened to stumble upon it about 11 years ago when my dad just brought a bunch of Genesis games in box at the store from like a dollar bin (this was near the end of the Genesis's life). Anyways as the name implies it's a Barney's game that involves playing hide and seek. Now most people who contributed a review to this game says its sucks because it is too easy. Well no duh, it was made for (gasp) kids and maybe not for the average gamer? I guess the storyline is that you are Barney and you must go and find kids and toys (there is no official storyline).

Game play 7/10: The developers of the game took the basic idea of hide and seek, toned the concept down a bit, combined it with bright and colorful stages and made this game. Each stage has 5 kids and toys (the toys and kids are the same in every stage except they just hide differently in each stage) to find however you can any number of kids and toys and still go on to the next stage. You can even find nothing and go on. At the end of each stage Barney will (very slowly) count the number of people/ items that you found. Now each stage is unique in that it has many things that will keep most kids entertained because of the amount of other stuff you can do (ie: pick up trash, transform stuff, help animals and etc).

Length 6/10: The game (after a while) will get boring but of course as I said already it is not made for the every day gamer. 11 years ago when I played this game (I think) it had 5 stages.

Graphics 7/10: The brightly colored stages is another thing that would probably keep most kids/ toddlers entertained for hours on.This is probably the most brightly colored game I have in my collection.

The game itself does a very good job at being a kids game. It teaches kids counting and critical thinking. So to judge it based on a "real" game would be unfair since it is not one. For those who complained that the game was crappy I have one question for you, "Are you a kid (age 4-6)? If not then of course you would hate the game.
