Virtual Pinball
Review by beaniehat
"Before you buy a pinball machine, look into this first."
This right here is the by far one the most impressive pinball games I've ever got to play. Why? It's one of the innovative pinball simulator to ever be made. Features that allow you to play large, pre-set maps and customize them as well! Choose between a set of skins to best suit your gaming pleasure or play on the recommended maps already made in the game. One notable feature is that you can create your own map to play pinball on! With the ability to use more than 50 flappers on each side, a variety of sensors switches, your choice of sound effects, and even teleporters, makes the fun of pinball to a whole new level! Endlessly create and play maps as you raise the high-score to prove championship.
Graphics-8/10
Simple, yet colorful backgrounds and parts makes a bright and vibrant display for a pinball game.
Sounds-9/10
Being able to change it up a bit has never been better! choose over 5 different sounds effects like metallic and gore(screams and squishes) enhances what you experience at the choice of your custom game. A nice little addition is the 7 styles of music to pick from, all of which give the player an extra feel for the game.
Story-?/10
It's pinball...I guess your story would be you wanted to play pinball, but instead you went a bought the video game of it instead. And you certainly weren't disappointed you did.
Gameplay-9/10
So many different speed modes, maps and an endless amount of ideas for your own pinball machine can last for hours, considering you really like pinball. Simple to play and enjoyable at that make a delicious time-waster for at the bus stop or when your just bored of all the games with backstories. It's nice to kickback and get your daily fill of pinball with this game. And with no glitches, hiccups or drawbacks, you get the full experience of a pinball game on your television set.
Buy/Rent
Go ahead and buy it's very cheap to get a hold of. Maybe $5 at most. Renting is impossible due to it's obsolete state.
There's so much you can do here, it's certainly a lot better than some of the themed pinball games out there on other consoles. You'll get a good amount of hours on it for your lifetime in the game, and it's a great alternative to buying a real pinball machine.
