Ecco the Dolphin

"A HIGHLY underrated game"

Ecco the Dolphin is one of the most underrated games
of all time.People were probably thinking when the game came out,''Oh,it's just another kids game'' because they see a picture of a playful dolphin on the box or the cartridge.Boy,are they wrong.This is more than a kids game.I consider this game and its sequel,Ecco:The Tides of Time,masterpieces.The reason I'm doing a review on Ecco the Dolphin because it's one of my favorite games and that no one else did a review on Ecco.Anyway,on to the ratings.
Graphics:(10/10)-I always rate games on order of importance.The graphics are one of the best ever because the graphics are beautiful on everything,such as rock walls,stones,ice,sky,and others.I see games that only focus the graphics on the main characters and enemies.This is how games should be,with good graphics on everything.This is why I gave graphics a 10.
Story:(10/10)-Finally, an adventure game that doesnt involve the main enemy taking over the world or kidnapping a princess with the main characters knowing what happened.
The game starts with playful little Ecco.But then a storm passes by,and when it ends,Ecco's pod is missing.He is the only one who remains.He rushes through the levels trying to find out what happened to his pod.Play the game for more information,because I'm not going to spoil anything.
Music/Sound:(10/10 and 9/10)-You will be getting the songs stuck in your head.The music for this game is well done,with the songs actually fitting into the level.Favorites are the prehistoric level songs and the time machine theme.The sound is good too.It gets a 9 because I don't think dolphins sound like that when they get hurt.
Replay Factor:(6/10)-Once you beat it,there really isn't much to do.If you were cheating,try to beat the game without cheating.That's all I have to say about this.
Gameplay:(9/10)-This is a unique game.You are a dolphin.In real life dolphins use sonar and surface for air.
In the game,you do the same thing.That's the best part of the game.The difficulty is good.It starts out easy,and then it gets harder as go.But sometimes it gets too hard,like the machine.If one of those green aliens touch you,your basically dead,and there are usually 2 or 3 following you so you going to have some trouble.
Buy or Rent-Buy it.You won't find other games like this so buy it.Last time I checked,it was 4 bucks.Ecco is worth much more,so buying it is highly recommended.
