"A fun futuristic game with lots of puzzles and an overall good challenge."

Flashback is an action game with lots of objectives and puzzles to solve. This game takes place a little in the future.

Violence Ages 10+
The violence in this game is probably between low and medium. There are guns but no blood. I would suggest this game to teens since younger kids wouldn't really get what to do.

I thought some people should know this because there is no rating of violence because this is such an old game.

Story
A scientist named Conrad was suddenly attacked by 2 aliens. Trying to track him down. He attemps escape by flying on his flying vehicle but gets gunned down and falls...

He wakes up, luckily he didn't die, but sadly, he lost his memory. As he wakes up he looks around at his surroundings and finds hes on some sort of alien like planet. Now, he searches for the truth. How he got here, what happend, and most of all, his identity. Now hes out to get revenge on the ones who did this!

Gameplay 7/10
This game isn't just about killing things, but what makes this game unique is all the stuff you get to solve. Level two is the most fun. It has the most puzzles. When you talk to certain people and do errands for them they will always give you something in return. As Conrad, you have many moves that you must master in order to complete some tasks or pass levels. Every level has a certain challenge and are all different in some way. You learn new tricks and get new special items as you go along through your journey. This game gets so fun that you'd wish there were more levels but theres always a harder difficulty.

Challenge Varies though pretty good overall
A good challenge would always be a game with different difficulties. Try sticking with normal untill you get good.

Lifespan 6/10
There are seven levels in this game. Seven long levels. Once you complete the game you'd wish there were more. Theres always harder difficulties which really aren't that hard. The only thing that kills is whenyour stuck and don't know what to do. But hey, thats what GameFAQs is for.

Replay 5/10
As I have said before, after you beat the game, playing on a harder difficulty isn't really that much but I'm not to strict with replay so this is about average replay.
Graphics 9/10
Considering the fact that this game came from a cd rom game right to the genisis whithout much change the graphics have to be good and really, everything looks really real.

Music/Sound 8/10
Music! there almost isn't any, mostly just on the scenes but when theres a part where theres lots of action, thats when the music starts up. Really though, you wont need the music, because without it it adds more suspense and m,akes the game more realistic. I give the music a 4.

For the sound, everything seems cool. Because of no music, you could hear your footsteps creep along each place of the game. I give the sound a 4

OVERALL 7/10
I don't go to easy on the games I review. There are other games that are better than this that deserve higher. If this just came out I probably would overate it a little because some of the great games still didn't come out. Thats why I play the whole game through first and rate it. The overall score of this game would be the average of all the scores I gave, therefore, giving this game and overall score of 7 which is good!

Buy or Rent?
You really can't buy this game anymore or rent it but if you see Flashback try renting it if you like a good challenge.
