"Dedicated to Jerome Belmont, the legendary black Belmont."

This game came out in 1991 and was made by Renovation
I was not even aware that it existed until a friend of mine lent me his copy a few days ago.

Gameplay:10 This game is like both an Action game and an RPG. This game is not too long ( It probably didn't even take me 10 hours to finish.) and it is pretty straight forward so you wont need to worry about doing puzzles. It doesn't get any more complicated than finding a person. When you're in towns you move around and talk to people like you would in Final Fantasy. When you go into dungeons it is like it would be in a side scrolling action game. You will gain Experience points and Gold by killing enemies. There is an easy way to get yourself leveled up really fast. There are some spots that if you stand still you kill the enemy and it will keep re-appearing. You have to have a controller with an Auto Turbo button to do it. Just turn it on Auto Turbo and you'll just keep attacking while the enemy keeps re-appearing for you to kill. But if you do, this the game will have almost no challenge at all because you'll be gaining levels while you're in the bathroom taking leak.

Story:10 The story is pretty interesting. You are Sadler. The king of a tribe of desert people that are fighting against the Luciel army. Though that is what you are trying to do at the beginning, the story takes some turns and you end up doing something totally different than what you intended to do.

Graphics:8 This game is pretty nice looking for having came out in 1991. The in town graphics are a bit ugly, but the graphics get a lot better when you go into action mode. Most enemies will just fade away when you kill them, but some actually have some cool death animations.
There are also character portraits for specific characters and they are all done very well. (Sadler just looks so darn cool.) There are even some cut scenes at certain points in the game which are also done pretty well.

Sound:9 I liked most of the music in this game. All the dungeon music is great. Some of the town music I didn't like so that's why it got a 9 instead of a 10.

Difficulty:6 It starts out a bit difficult, but once you gain some levels it gets pretty easy. the only dungeon I had any difficulty in was the first one.

Replay Value:5 Though I thought this was a good game, I will probably never play through it again unless I want to remember the story. Other than that there is no reason to play through it twice.

Rent or Buy: This game seems to be very hard to find so you will probably have no choice to just buy it. Just remember that this game is short. So if you're looking for a game with a long drawn out plot you should avoid this.
