"Space Harrier watch out, here's Cotton!"

I can't believe GameFAQs doesn't have this listed! Panorama Cotton is the single best shooter on the Genesis/Mega Drive. Most possibly my favorite game of all time, Panorama Cotton sells for around $320. This 3D continuation to the Cotton series is very reminiscent of Space Harrier, improved about 500%. Panorama Cotton stars a witch named Cotton whom travels with a fairy named silk. Someone has poisoned all the Willows, the best candy in the world, and Cotton is on a mission to find out who. With stunning effects, beautiful anime cut-scenes, and massive levels, Cotton represents the finest shooter of the 16-bit era...

Graphics: 10/10
I don't even know where to start...Panorama Cotton has about 20 minutes worth of brilliant anime cut-scenes a sure treat for anyone. The anime scenes are only a tiny bit of what is in store. Panorama Cotton's graphics are virtually indescribable. You soar through clouds and appear 3,000 miles up in the air while chasing a flying kangaroo-it's terrific. Panorama Cotton has better graphics than any 2D game I have ever seen. Period.

Sound: 10/10
Over 20 unique tunes are presented in the game, matching their levels perfectly. Each very memorable as well as the cute phrases Cotton says herself. The enemies explosions are fitting as well, much like Space Harrier. Panorama Cotton also has great boss themes. One of the best sounding games on the system.

Gameplay: 10/10
Panorama Cotton is the most fun I've ever had in a video game. The constant action and excitement, blended with the fantastic visuals, great themes, and a touch of cuteness will make you cry with joy. Some levels have 5 different floors while others have you scrolling backwards, truly magnificent. The game's enemies each have their own unique power and look as do every character in the game. You can glide through the game slowly, or zip through faster than Sonic (really!) You collect a more powerful fire and different types of magic, from a giant flame dragon to homing missiles-this game has it all.

Lasting Appeal: 10/10
Blowing stuff up, great graphics, huge levels, giant bosses, come on you know you'll come back every minute.

Overall: 10/10
Panorama Cotton is so incredible rare it's sad. If you have the good fortune to find it on ebay it'll cost over $300. You know what? It's worth $500. If you like Cotton, Shooters, Space Harrier, or the Mega Drive, this will be your most favorite video game of all time.
