Review by Paulos

"A spooky, and dangerously fun RPG game."

The Immortal, one of the great Sega Genesis early 90 rpg games... and without a doubt, this game could not have been on any other system and done a better job at the time. Such realistic battle views, moving your wizard around, trying to avoid traps and dangerous encounters with large trolls, goblins, and other evil beings makes this game one of your favorites in your RPG collection to always know you can bring back out from the dusty cabinet and play!

In this game, you are Mordavir, a master wizard, who must rescue his teacher by going through several levels of an evil, haunted labrynth! You must be careful, for there are several things that can kill you in the blink of an eye!

Graphics: 70%
Words: The drawings of the goblins, trolls, Mordavir, and other human being figures were drawn very good. The battle scenes are also incredibly exciting and if you die you are dead for good, so be careful.

Sound: 85%
Words: Some of the scariest, and most inspiring songs and hums to keep you in the mood in this scary rpg game.

Replay: 35%
Words: Honestly, if you can EVEN get PAST the whole game *which it could take you over 20-40 minutes to get past the first level, while the second level could take over 1-5 DAYS*, which could take more than a few weeks if you do not know how to play the game well, you probably may not want to play it again. Maybe in a few years you would bring it back out though... in a few years.

Gameplay: 60%
Words: Some difficulties like Rings of Power, where you try to move your wizard and you can have problems. But in time you will learn it, and when you learn it you will probably be swallowed whole by a few killer worm!

Story: 20%
Words: You must go through levels of a large labyrnth to save your master who is being held captive. Not that much of a story.

Characters: 75%
Words: For this spooky rpg game, the goblins, trolls, evil humans and other evil beings and your wizard, Mordavir, are very, very good characters for this type of game.

Violence: 75%
Words: This is a violent game in battle scenes, for example, you could be stabbed to death by a pike coming from the ground, your could be slaughtered in battle, which they show graphically, and you can kill your enemies by cutting... well you get the point.

Final Words: If you can find it, buy it. Its fun to play, and it is useful to your rpg needs. A difficult game, and you may get mad at it and may not even beat the game or get even close or far, but worth buying!
