NBA Hang Time

NBA Hangtime is made by Midway. Hangtime is a really horrible game and it is supposed to be like NBA Jam. In Hangtime you can go to options and change settings like clock speed and difficulty. You can also change the control setting. Hangtime has a create a player mode. Unfortunately it really sucks. The create a player mode in Hangtime is very bad. First of all the heads are some of the worst. They give you about 10 heads. 6 human heads and about 4 alien heads. The graphics are really bad in Hangtime which makes the heads look horrible. The only really good part about the create a player mode in Hangtime is that you can save your create a player with your name and pin #. But whats the use of saving if you can’t even make a decent looking person.

NBA Hangtime plays a lot like NBA Jam. Hangtime is a 2 on 2 game with on-fire mode. But one of the things that separates NBA Jam from Hangtime is that there is no hitting! In NBA Jam you can hit your opponent. In Hangtime you can only steal. After every quarter you can choose other players. For example, if you are tired of using Ewing switch him with Starks at the end of the quarter. Playing Hangtime is just not fun. It doesn't have the greatness of NBA Jam. In other words NBA Jam is way more fun than Hangtime. Lets get on with the review.

Graphics 1/10

The graphics in Hangtime are horrible. The reason they are horrible though is because they are very unclear. In NBA Jam the players and everything else is clear. In Hangtime the players are smudged and look like they have dirt all over them.

Sound 4/10

The music in Hangtime is terrible. The music is repetitive and is bad. There is an option to turn off the music which is good. The sound is mediocre at best. At least its not as bad as the music.

Control 10/10

This is the only really good thing about Hangtime. You can change the control settings at the option screen but usually A is shoot, B is pass and C is turbo. X, Y & Z is not used in Hangtime. The control is smooth and great. No problem here.

Challenge 7/10

Hangtime isn’t a very hard game. But there is an option to make the difficulty higher or lower.

Replay Value 1/10

Hangtime has some of the worst replay value ever. The game is not fun and worth peoples time. Even if you have a friend you will not want to play Hangtime with him or her. Over all awful replay value.

I really think you should just forget about this game. Its not even worth a rent. Save your money and don’t buy this.
