"Help save Beanville in this addictive and fun puzzler"

OMG! Doctor Robotnick is kidnapping innocent beans and turning them into robots!! .. So what I hear you say? It's up to you to rescue them!

This is basically Puyo Puyo with a Sonic Theme. But, am I complaining?

Graphics:8/10
Very nice. Vibrant colours, nice animations, and realistic beans :). Everything is bright and/or bold. The backgrounds look nice, as do the menu screens. Everything moves at a nice rate. Everything is presented well, and it never looks garish or boring. Nice job =).

Sound:8/10
Some fantastic tunes, and nice sounds. Nice bloops, and fwings, and 2 voice clips =D. The tunes are instantly memorable. The later ones are toe tappingly good. Some sounds are the standard affair, but this doesn't effect the game and how much I enjoy it ^.^;;.

Gameplay:9/10
Simple, but addictive, with no flaws. In the scenario mode you have to win against opponents. Beans fall in pairs from the top of the screen. You have to rotate the beans as they fall, and match four beans with the same colour. Get a combo, or more than four, and ghost beans drop in your opponents. They (or you) destroy these by matching the beans on top of these. They disappear as the others do. The object of the game is to fill up your opponent's screen.
There is a practice mode, and there is head to head mode. Time for some competitive puzzle fun!! This works like the Scenario mode, and works very well :)
There is a puzzle mode (called exercise mode). This is very challenging. You have certain objectives that you must complete. They seem impossible when you start, but when you complete them, they seem so obvious! Well Done to the game's creators :).

Controls:10/10
Easy Peasy simple pimple. The D pad does the obvious, button 1 rotates the beans, and button 2 rotates in the opposite direction. Simple controls are the path to a brilliant game.

Lastability:7/10
There's always some challenge in there, and the scenario mode will last you a will. By the way, you get password when you complete a level. I have yet to complete the puzzle mode. You will keep coming back for a quick bash at multiplayer as well.

Overall:8
Fantastic. It is very heard to make a hard and challenging puzzle game.. and DRMBM's creators have succeeded. This is also available on the Game Gear, and is almost the same in everyway apart from the graphics. Great portable puzzle fun.
And there is an added bonus.. if you are babysitting or are a busy parent, give this to the child. It will keep them amused for ages =).
