"It can be good, but it gets boring..."

Gameplay: (4/10)

This is not a good section to read if you think this game is good. This game just gets boring after a while. It is just somewhat repetitive! Thankfully, there are passwords, so you can take up where you left off. It is still just boring! The controls aren't THAT bad, and the game is moderately difficult. It can be fun, but only for about 15-30 minutes, then you are about to either turn off the system and rip your eyes out, or you are about to put a bullet or two in your Genesis...

Story: (7/10)

The story follows the same path (somewhat) of the movie. A team of humans goes through a large ring (known as the Stargate :p ) And ends up trapped on a planet known as Abydos. This planet is ruled by a despotic ruler known as ''Ra'' he is a member of a race known as the Goa'uld, and has tricked his people into thinking he is a god. The plot just kind of moves on steadily from there. It's not bad, but it doesn't have you on the edge of your seat.

Audio/Video: (7/10)

This game's A/V capabilities aren't all that bad! (considering it's on the Genesis, and you are reading this in the era of the PS2 and GCN...) It's nothing to streak your neighborhood about, but the video isn't that bad. The machine gun noise gets kind of annoying after a while, but it's not a sound that makes you wanna jump our your bedroom window...

Replayability: (2/10)

This is where the game suffers the most to me. This game has NO reward at the end except for the credits. You probably won't play this game again once you're done, and if you do, it won't be for a LONG time since you beat it the first time. I don't think this game is really worth playing again...

Buy/Rent

I don't like telling people this, but you probably won't like this game! If you are still wondering about this game, DO NOT go down to your local specialty shop and spend $15-20 on it! Go to eBay and spend no more than $5.00. If you like it, then you have a bargain If you hate it, then you haven't been set back by much.

Conclusion:
I don't think this game is that great, but I am not going to tell people to avoid it like the plague. It can be good for die-hard Stargate fans. Buy it for cheap and see for yourself...
