Uhh, when I got to the review page I thought, 'OK! Lets give this game a pleasant, suck up review.' Then I thought about the music...

OK, here is my review...

PLOT
2/10

There is I'm afraid to say no plot at all - Jafar is evil and you must kill him. That's about it. The plot hardly dominates throughout the game, apart from intervals between levels where a basic plotline is retained with (admittedly) nice graphics. But I don't do 3D :-)

GRAPHICS

The graphics are OK for this game though the Sonic games are but one example of better. The guards are annoying and repetitive, the enemies are very limited apart from a few bosses, there are under 10 enemies in the entire game.

SOUND

Aaaaaaaargh! I always wore my Walkman when I played Genesis, then it broke so I learned of The Destruction Of The Eardrums Through Gaming Music. The music is annoying, repetitive and though most of it is in the movie the only good track is the Whole New World imitation. It gets me dreaming. But some tracks like the boss music and Sultan's Dungeon and Desert are irritating to blow point.
The Sound FX are alright, apart from Abu's little 'Uh oh'. It drives me mad!

ACTION

This is quite good, its the right sort of difficulty for a relaxing game instead of a tense nightmare to play. I must say the few normal enemies are comical and fun to fight, but the apple throwing gets a bit...unrealistic.
The bosses are easy EXCEPT Jafar. The very last thing in the game is near impossible to defeat and even with the invincible code on it took me 15 minutes to kill him. The other bosses are a snip.
Most jumps are good, easy but some are hard to discover.

LEVEL VARIETY

My favourite level is Inside the Lamp its so fun! Some like Sultans Dungeon are not hard but too grueling and long. Almost every level has some new secret to discover.

REPLAY VALUE
4/10
You can play this game through, abandon it, then come back to it in a month and play it again. That's the replay value.

SAVE SYSTEM/PASSWORDS
Unfortunately none, it would be better if there was.

SECRETS AND HIDDEN STUFF
9/10
There are a few cool things to do, like if you stand in a certain way against Mickey Mouse ears there will be a free life appearing any second, or some interesting jumps will give you some serious items, so this is the best feature.
