"WOW! Sega did it AGAIN!"

Released in 1989, it blew any NES game away, and is the sequel to the best SegaMaster System RPG.

The game begins on Motavia, a planet in the Algo star system. You are Rolf, an Agent in the town
of Paseo. You awaken to strange nightmares everynight. Eventually you wander to the Central Tower
where your commander wants you to go to the Biosystems lab and get the Recorder to find out why monsters are being created and to find out
what went wrong. This is only the beginning. You will have to explore and investigate about the mother brain (not THAT mother brain),
and eventually save the world (cliche!).

This game is VERY good although the First Person dngeon crawling from PS1 has been substituted for garbage over head MAZES! Blah!

Graphics: 10/10. For 1989, Sega had Nintendo beat. The graphics in this game are stunning. They are colorful, very detailed, and
there are cool Anime pics of every important character. The overworld is impressive too. The best part is the monsters...the monsters
are huge and well detailed. The graphics give this game life.

Sound: 10/10. The theme song and the New Game/Continue song are GREAT. All the music is great...its like 80's pop/techno...Sega Style :).
The sound effects are great too. The slashes etc. sound cool. The best part is there is no ''BEEP!'' when you cycle through menu commands!

Gameplay: 9/10. The controls, concept, etc. are great, the battle system is HORRID! It's kind of like that Tactics option in some RPG's where
you set a tactic and the characters use that until you push a button or the battle ends...it isn't bad....it's just odd. The music and graphics for
the battle make up for it though!

Replay Value: 5/10. I've replayed it many times...but that's just me haha. There's not much to do once you beat it except try using different characters.
You have a little bit of choice with the characters used.

Overall: 10!!! (Sure the math doesn't add up...) BUT I still say this game is great. The replay is where it isn't good...but other than that WOW!

Buy/Rent?: BUY IT!!! If you see this for sale BUY IT!!! The other option is the GBA game:Phantasy Star Collection. You can't beat this game in a rental, unless
you don't have a job, you don't go to school, OR you have a long break ahead of you!...
