This game is probably the hardest game i've ever played....which kills it for me because otherwise.... this game is pretty cool....i'm sure i'm very biased in this review because shooters (although i've played quite a few) aren't my cup of tea....I bought this game for like 20 bucks about 7 years ago after i read incredible reviews on this game....and no doubt...there are incredible ideas in this game....actually, there's not much wrong with this game besides it's ridiculous difficulty....i would have gotten much more enjoyment out of this game had it even been a tad easier... i mean, this game is simply impossible....in seven years of owning this game, i've never even gotten past the second level...i couldn't even beat the second level on slow-motion controls.....that's how hard this game is In this game you control a space ship that has another smaller space ship that follows you around. however, you can control the smaller space ship to steal the weapons on any enemy space ships(which I thought was an awesome idea)...and use those stolen weapons against the enemy This game is really fast.....it really is die hard action...but unfortunately, my patience is not the best there are just too many enemy ships...they attack in hoards ...and they attack really fast...you hardly have any time to react.....and unless you pick up a shield generator...one shot to your ship will destroy it...

I believe that there are certain points in this game where most gamers will just quit on a dime.... this game plays fine...but it is too hard... i think it's good that some games aren't too easy..and in fact, challenging.....but this is ridiculous... you couldn't even change the difficulty if you wanted to (you know.....to make the game easier)....this game is just insanely hard...and you can't change it... This game does give you like 9 continues...but trust me, they will not last long

-graphics-(7)
The graphics in this game are pretty good...the boss graphics (well...the ones i've seen anyway)..are really good the graphics really work in this game...not much to complain about here

-sound-(7)
this may sound cheesy....but the music get's me into this game...the music goes great with the action... the sound effects are your average shooter fare

-control-(8)
the controls are pretty tight.....the fact that you can control the speed of your ship is a plus

-story-(2)
kill the bad guys

-replayability- (5)
depending on who you are ....you can either play this game till no end trying to beat it.....or you can give up instantly when you get to level two....i catch myself playing this game every once in a while...and three things always happen....(1)i get to level 2...(2)i lose all of my men on level 2.....and (3)i give up

-rent or buy-
yeah.....try renting this anywhere....if you want to play this game....it's for keeps
