"Not the best NBA game..."

I have had this rusted up NBA Action game for a while for the sega genesis platform and I must say that it is probably the worst game I have ever played! The graphics on this baby are like chicken scratches! It is fuzzy and the sound is pretty lame. The only complement I could give on this game is the team players ranks and the title music. Yea, that probably won't make the ratings any higher on the review though! I would say that the genesis system even has better quality NBA games so this really is bad, it's not just the system. The score system is decent but not too good and the players’ movements are very shaky. Now I will go on to the ratings…

Graphics

1/10

I personally hate the graphics. It is the real aspect of the game that will make you want to chop it up and throw it out. The players are not well developed as they look like a fuzzy creature. They have minimum amount of moves and the shots look very unusual.

The scoreboard looks pretty neat but that isn’t really due to any kind of graphics. Also, the way players move is sort of interesting as it is very unusual. This is because of graphical problems. Overall the graphics lower this game’s ratings like crazy! There is really nothing good about them and the graphics of a game make up a whole lot when it comes to buying.

Sound

7/10

This is a better part of the game. The music is of course is smooth sounding as all basketball game music is. The crowd in this game is also decent for a Sega Genesis game. They roar when you slam or make a three and they boo so to speak when the away team scores something nice. That makes you feel a lot better in your accomplishments.

The ball hitting the rim is somewhat real sounding and the swish of the basket is certainly noticeable. I think it puts on a little icing when you make a three with that swishing sound. I certainly like that a lot better.

Gameplay

5/10

This gameplay is really nothing special. You can play your regular exhibitions and your normal seasons, but nothing spectacular that will blow your mind away. The games are well made as they are four quarters in length and have foul options.

You can play multiplayer as well. This is especially fun when you are with other friends. You can both pick your favorite team and battle a well fought match.

Replay Value

8/10

The replay value is good until you downright get sick of the game. The seasons are extremely fun to start all over on and the exhibitions will take a long time to get sick of once you are playing with your friends. The dunks are pretty neat to try over and over and the test of your ability to make three pointers is pretty fun to replay. This makes the game with a pretty good replay value. I would encourage it if you really like lengthy games.

Buy/Rent

Seriously, it doesn’t really matter. You can try it out if you want but it really isn’t very expensive at all. Personally. I would recommend that you buy this game if you are at all interested.

Overall

Ratings: 1+7+5+8/4= 5.2 rounded to 5!
I am going to say that this is a normal and very average game. If you are looking for a good NBA game, this is probably not the one you should be looking for. So these are the ratings for the NBA Action game.
