"A Good Game but Poor in Some Areas"

Although I say this is the best Genesis game ever it is not the best game. The game was fairly challenging in some parts but the worst part of the game is the length. The first time I beat the game I thought it that was one of many worlds in the game. I was overly suprised. It is ~8 levels and each one takes around 4 minutes for the experienced gamer. This averages to around 30 minutes to beat the game. Even Super Mario is longer then that.

The form of this game is arcade. It is played at a side-veiw with the camera moving at the same speed as you, like a lot of other Genesis games; You can jump up and down to different stories, shoot (you take your partner and do something to him [depending on who you control] to shoot either a nose or some sort of pellet), and obviously walk. The good thing about this game is that you can not die when you fall down a cliff. You just get brought back up with less health.

A good thing I look for in games are modes and different ways to play this game. Fortunately this game has Easy Mode, Medium Mode, and Difficult Mode. You can also play this game in two player mode. Two player mode takes much teamwork and requires patience. One player plays as Ren and the other as Stimpy. A bad thing though is you are not able to unlock certain things, it is a very straight-forward game with a basic story line.

The story is that Ren had invented a food machine but Ren blew it up. So you have to go find all the missing parts so you can have your food machine. It is a very poor and unlikely story line but that does not affect the story line or the quality of the game much.

The graphics for Ren & Stimpy were above Genesis Standard. I make the point of saying this because it Is partially three dimensional. What this means is you can jump up and down to different levels. There are some flaws in the graphics like when you stand still on a tall building the sky is literally flying buy. But besides that, the graphics look pretty good.

The sound is very annoying. The only sounds are small sound effects like when you do something to your partner. There is small music in the background that gets very annoying after time. I almost always play with the sound all the way down.

I recommend this game to and one from an in-experienced gamer to the average and expert-gamer. This game is NOT worth buying because it is very easy to beat and takes no time at all. And after you beat it most people don't like playing it again. I recommend renting this game for a weekend and then moving on to a different game.

WARNING: This game can be highly frustrating when you get stuck on a level or a certain part.
