""How Are You Gentleman?""

Oh yes.....the ''Immortal'' Zero Wing. Released for the Sega Genesis what seems like centuries ago, it didn't make a slight impact....until someone decided to make a flash movie that took the intro from the game and gave it voice acting, then included a slide show with ''All Your Base'' posted somewhere in all the different pictures. We all know how the intro goes, but how does the game play? I'm getting to that....

Graphics: 6/10
Nothing special, even back in the Genesis days. They simply got the job done. Your basic ships and bullets. Now by today's standards, the graphics would be a 1. But hey, graphics don't make a game, right? Perfect example of that would be GameCube's Star Fox Adventures or XBox's Wreckless.

Control: 7/10
Controlling ''Zig'' is not too hard, so you know what you doing! However, it seems to move a little too fast even if you just tap it, and it'll make a sudden move lightning fast, possibly casuing you to die froma bullet or a wall. It doesn't get any simpler than this though. A fires your main weapon, and B will fire a grapple beam, of sorts, that grabs a ship, then with another push of B, it'll send it packing......

Sound: 5/10
Main Speaker Turn On! The music in this game is of low quality. However, the music from the famous ''Intro'' could get stuck in your head, but thats probably because its the ''Intro to Zero Wing.'' Sound effects sound NES-ish, too. Why does a laser on a big ship like the Zig sound like you're shooting Samus' gun in the original Metroid? Not impressive at all......

Gameplay: 7/10
You are on the way to Simplistic Gameplay! The gameplay couldn't be any more simpler. There are pickups, like adding 2 more guns to your ships sides that'll attack with you. There's also weapon upgrades, from your standard shots, to lasers, to homing blasts. However, you get hit once, just ONCE, and you're toast, and you'll have to go back to a certain point and try again. That alone will make some gamers frustrated. Other than that, if you are really experienced at Shooters, you shouldn't have too much trouble with this game.

Replay: 4/10
The replay is bad in this game. When you finish the game a first time, you'll play in expert mode, and if you beat expert, you'll get an alternate ending. Really, the only other replay value in this game would be to watch the Intro, and you can easily do that by watching the flash movie, plus the flash has voice acting, too.

Rent/Buy: Rent
You won't be able to rent this game, as it is on Sega Genesis. Your only option would be to buy it used. The game is worth about 3-7 bucks, nothing more. If your looking for a good shooter, try Super R-Type on SNES, or if you have a Saturn, go for the godly Radiant SilverGun. Oh yeah, there's also Ikaruga if you have a DreamCast or a GameCube right now.
