"A fun cartoon game with all the memorable characters."
Overall Review: 7/10

Gameplay: 7/10 - This is an enjoyable game for people who are fans of the Ren and Stimpy show, and a good game for kids in the range of 4-8. You control either Ren or Stimpy, or both in two-player mode. You both are on a journey to recover missing parts of Stimpy's invention that recently blew up and scattered the parts all over the city. You must travel through the neighborhood, zoo, city, pound, and the outdoors collecting Stimpy's parts for his invention. Once you recollect them all, you must shut off his invention before it goes haywire again. You must use each other to get through the areas and rebuild Stimpy's invention. A lot of fun and memorable characters and events along the way.
Difficulty: 6/10 - The difficulty is distributed evenly out for beginners and experts. You choose the difficulty setting in the options menu, which affects how many lives and continues you will have. The beginner's difficulty is great for people learning the game, and exploring the enemies and levels Ren and Stimpy will encounter. The normal mode will begin to present a challenge, as you take more damage, and healing items become scarce. This mode will work on your survival skills and help develop them if you wish to try the hard difficulty. The hard difficulty is quite challenging, giving you only one or two hits before getting killed. Good difficulty setting presenting many levels of challenges.
Sound: 6/10 - The sound is that of cartoons. It's a cartoon show, and it's really a kid's game, so the sounds will be lenient and funny. When you kill an enemy, you'll hear a little whine from that enemy, which are natural in most cases. The sounds are very colorful and entertaining, but unusual.
Music: 8/10 - The music is very entertaining and nice. It displays that of a child's game, and sounds harmonious in most of the levels. It changes in each scene and presents a different mood in each, creating the perfect situation. The music sounds unusual in the last levels, sounding mysterious and a little frightful and strange, but overall, it is enjoyable.
Control: 9/10 - Controlling either Ren or Stimpy isn't too hard at all. You will perform the actions of the one you're controlling with the other character. To use, you just press a certain direction and a button in a combination, when your partner is nearby. You use these to get through the game. It might be difficult when playing two player mode, because if you need the other one's presence to perform a certain action, that person might have trouble getting to you, or is busy doing something to get over to you to perform the task.
Graphics: 5/10 - The graphics are rather exaggerated in this game. There are pits in sidewalks and eyeballs on trees. Your size as a character is inconsistent, as you are able to enter through refrigerators and bird cages and navigate with ease. The characters are nicely made, and the enemies from the shows appear exactly the same. The graphics you see in the levels are easily understood, as nothing is made beyond knowing what it is. Good, but strange graphics and surroundings.
Entertainment: 7/10 - This is a good, fun game to play over and over again, and you still might be playing it today, as there are many things to do in the game. A lot of enjoyment for Ren and Stimpy fans, and many funny jokes and characters as you play. It's definite find for the Genesis. Happy Happy Joy Joy!
Buy it or Rent it?
This is up to you, but I would definite go with buy it. I still find it fun, funny, and memorable, as the Ren and Stimpy show isn't around much anymore. Keep the good times with Ren and Stimpy alive with this game, and you're in for a great, enjoyable time.
