Home Alone

"Home alone is a great and funny game"

I've always been a fan of home alone, all 3 of the movies and the game, this game is alot better than the second game in my opinion. I just like going around shooting the robbers i guess.

Gameplay: (10/10) The gameplay is easy to understand, you just collect Items such as glue, balloons, coal and BB's and make cool guns to shoot down the robbers. There are different houses to choose from, the robbers go to different houses each time so you need to be quick or they will loot the house.

Story (8/10) The story is more or less the same as the movie, it just cuts out alot, Kevin is left home alone and the robbers come to town and start looting the area, so it's up to Kevin because he's the only on home to stop them.

Graphics: (7/10) The graphics are okay but nothing special, the graphics are the best when you are in doors, you and the robbers have walking graphics. Out doors the robbers go around the different houses in a blue van while Kevin is on his sled, the ot door graphics are similar to an early grand theft auto game with a lot more stillness and a lot less blood. There is also a special feature in most houses that can help you or hurt you, these include a spider, a robot and a ghost.

Music: (9/10) The music is mainly midi, it does not contain real music from the movies but the music suits the game perfectly so it deserves a 9 out of 10 score. In every house there is different music and there is music out doors too.

Sounds (9/10) The sounds in the game are fairly good for an old game, there are different shooting sounds for each gun and when you crash into the robbers blue van it makes a loud noise. Kevin has a sound when he rides on his sled, when he rides it on ice and when he rides it into a hydrent it makes a cool water sound.

Overall: (10/10) Despite a few flaws, this game is fun and entertaining and can keep you hooked for hours. I recommend this game to anyone at all who thinks they would enjoy this game.

Rent or buy? If you can find a place to rent the game if you want to try it then rent it, but i'm guessing you can pick up the game for less than the price it's actually worth. So i'll say buy.
